itsawrap Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 In his first 4 starts in June last year, he threw 34.1 IP and had 43 K's while allowing zero ER. 3 of those games were complete games. (When healthy) Josh Johnson is notoriously good in June as well. Maybe these guys keep us in there or get us back on track until Jose Reyes returns at the end of the month/beginning of July?

cesarb182 Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 That's what i said on the gdt, i don't know why everbody was bitching out saying that his career is over, since 2011 he's been had a bad start close to 4ERA in the first two months, and from june he starts settle in, can't see why the same wouldn't happen this year
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 They need to win 8 or 9 in a row to get this fan base interested again... As of now, we're finished
Arkadium Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 I was wondering how hard was Dickey throwing today? Was he able to up his velocity??
Arkadium Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 He was changing speeds a lot better. I dont think his fastball was any harder though. Ahh

Buehrle has been decent too. We need to string together a good 5-6 wins, which we haven't seemed to be able to do for as long as I can remember. But if we can get JJ + Buehrle + Dickey consistent, we have a chance to do that. Need to go on like a 9-1 run, and all the sudden we're 2 games back of .500. Funny thing, Lind and Rasmus were supposed to be two of our bigger question marks coming into the season, and they've been two of our better players.

wilko Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Dickey was topping out at 81/82 today.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Wow. 8 1/3 scoreless innings? That's what I'm talking about.
