Arkadium Verified Member Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Last year he didn’t make it because he didn’t have the reputation yet… but now he’s putting up the same kind of power numbers as last year… he’s absolutely deserving… .265 .341 .516 .857 (Leads all DH in HR (16) and RBI (48)) Although I don’t really know why he’s on the ballot as a DH, since he’s playing more games as a 1B.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Ugh, enough polls and questions. I'd say he should be, but he won't be.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 He should of been last year. It was a joke that he wasn't. He will 100% be an All-Star this year unless he gets hurt. He's hitting .265 so casual idiots i.e. most of the voters will think 'oh noez he sucks' and not vote for him despite a .369 wOBA and DINGERZ.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 What's wrong with polls? Polls are grrrrrrrrrrreat http://www.baerpm.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/tony_the_tiger-lg1.jpg
Wilnercibia Verified Member Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 He will be Him and Jansen probably Bautista has been s*** lately, though he may still make it too. The only bright spots in a horrendously awful and bust season
Arkadium Verified Member Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 There is no chance he's a starter, and I doubt he gets in as a sub. Here's AL DH voting so far: 1. David Ortiz, Red Sox, 1,045,283 2. Lance Berkman, Rangers, 672,547 3. Mark Reynolds, Indians, 452,708 4. Mark Trumbo, Angels, 376,574 5. Victor Martinez, Tigers, 340,967 Bautista is the only Jays player who is top 5 in votes for his position. LOL...... what a joke.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 Will EE be in the HR Derby? Quick poll included: http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/426-Will-EE-be-in-the-HR-derby
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Hes on pace for 45+ dingers this year, yes he will make the team. Probably will join Jose and Jansenn, which is funny that a team like this has 3 all stars, plus a would be 4th in Reyes if he didnt get hurt. On a side note, its pretty embarrassing that Jays fans are to lazy to vote in their players, Bautista shouldnt be only 5th..
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Berkman? What a bunch of ********. Berkman is a joke.....but it's hard to argue against Ortiz..he's been a monster again this year despite missing the first 3 or 4 weeks of the season....EE should be there for a sub.....
Arkadium Verified Member Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 Berkman is a joke.....but it's hard to argue against Ortiz..he's been a monster again this year despite missing the first 3 or 4 weeks of the season....EE should be there for a sub..... David is a good name to have in baseball, except maybe David Cooper. David Wright David Justice David Ortiz David Price Etc.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 It's doubtful. Albert Puljos and Prince Fielder are the marquis names at the 1st base position and while Puljos is having a rough year, Chris Davis should be a shoe in with the numbers he's putting up.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 So is EE eligible as a first baseman or DH?
