Nolan Reimold will miss the series because of a strained hamstring. It is Kevin Gausman's MLB debut tonight. The 4th overall pick of the 2012 MLB Draft, he is the first pitcher to make it to the MLB, beating out players like Michael Waka, Marcus Stroman, and Mike Zunino. Jays: The Blue Jays enter the weekend series against the division-rival Orioles with a 10-18 record against the American League East. The Blue Jays are coming off of their first series win in over 16 tries versus Tampa Bay. I'll have better/more content in mine in the future whenever I'm needed, but I don't have time to crop right now. Let's go Blue Jays!
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Ahhh so beautiful!!!! I made a good choice with you!
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Nice! Matt Devlin is apparently doing play-by-play for six games with Buck away. I'll probably be watching the Orioles feed. Who?
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Big series for the Jays this weekend. Seems like I have been saying that a lot, but taking 3/4 would be pretty big.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 He does the Raptors games Oh god. Hopefully he knows a bit about baseball lol

I like Devlin, does a nice job on the Raptors broadcast when he isn't with the cancer known as Leo Rautins. There is almost no way he is worse than Buck
declan_44 Verified Member Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Will this be Jose Fernandez 2.0 or will Kevin get lit up? I have him in my fantasy pool but I REALLY want the Jays to take 3/4 here, starting tonight.

theblujay Verified Member Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 I like our lineup these days. I wish there was some way to get Gose in there though...
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 We got this one!!! FHRC posted, first two home runs count tonight. http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/62-Blue-Jays-First-Home-Run-Contest-Thread/page28

declan_44 Verified Member Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Was jealous you picked him up first. Lol,it may turn out disastrous, and my team needs all the help it can get. Go grab Nolin

Jeffrey_Paul Verified Member Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 I don't know if this is statistically correct, but I feel like anytime the jays face a pitcher making their big league debut, they just get owned.
admin Site Manager Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 JP Arencibia's OBP is 30 points below the career average of John McDonald I bet he could catch better too. Wasn't he third string catcher? He could probably put up better WAR than JPA. Imagine that.

To be fair, it happens with most teams, but it does seem like it happens to us more. Plus this guy is pretty decent, and our offense likes to disappear at times. I'm a little worried.
HASHTAGYOLOSWAG Verified Member Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Big league debuts usually don't go past the sixth inning whether they are good or bad. Hopefully we can make their pen throw 4 innings and help us for the other games in the series.

Emergency catchers would be better than this clown right about now. 2BB:55K?? I wonder if he finishes the season with less than 10 walks.
