You pretty much wet yourself daily with negativity in every post and GDT. It's time to turn off the computer and go outside.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I also reported him. It's unacceptable. We can't have such filth mucking up our message board.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 What will we see more of this year? Full moons or J.P Arencibia walks?
JugglingPitches Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 What will we see more of this year? Full moons or J.P Arencibia walks? Probably walks because at the rate JPs head is swelling it will be covering a portion of the moon before long.
Flashman Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 The article does talk about the good and bad.....The Jays need to promote Thole. There is no one pushing him. Blanco isn't going to take his job, at least Thole is young. I would bring up Thole and say to JP you take a walk in the next 5 games or you're sitting for 3 games....you swing at more than 7 pitches out of the strikezone in 5 games and you're sitting 3 days. JP with a quarter of the plate disciple of Jose bautista would be a very good hitter. He has no discipline at the moment and he still has a .731 OPS...he has 30 homerun power. I understand people's frustration with JP. I just about threw my remote through my tv a couple games back because of JP. He doesn't have to develop into a patient hitter. He just needs to have a little more patience and understanding. As little time as we may have for J.P.'s catching skills, it is tough to blame him for having the big head. This comes down to front office mismanagement. They should have recognised J.P. would likely be a drag on the team, and make it clear that he would be competing with another catcher. Competition is good. There was really no need to trade away Buck if they had taken that approach. But, the FO being the FO, they gave J.P. the cushy throne treatment, as they seem to do with most players.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Reported for containing JP Arencibia. the part that should be reported is that I was positive about it to him on twitter (I've been asked to be nice when I tag players hoping for a re-tweet). I posted it here to make fun of his inability to speak
Caper Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 posted in the wrong thread Do you think he is safe there? Looks close to me.

Head in his hands shanking his head.... Or doing the Jerry Sienfeld thing when he suspects Newman is up to some thing nefarious....."Newman!"

I think I've been there for 5 of his 9 home HR's this year...I'm used to it. I was classy last night and didn't even boo him. Although I did rip up someone's All Star ballot that picked him. Her boyfriend approved of my actions.

Rajaifailedgrade1 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 JPA getting destroyed on Prime Time Sports - He catches pitches and moves them out of the strike zone...Bad defensively etc..
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 JPA getting destroyed on Prime Time Sports - He catches pitches and moves them out of the strike zone...Bad defensively etc.. I liked the bit where they pretended that they were all talking about pitch framing back when JPA was first called up... I certainly don't remember any such conversations.

They're generally smart guys, Brunt and McGowan, but they can be pretty retarded.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 The JPA lack-of-walks saga is now being mocked south of the border as well: http://www.baseballnation.com/2013/5/24/4361548/j-p-arencibia-walks-strikeouts-good-gravy LOL the author is funny as f*** and makes a lot of good points
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Dustin McGowan? Did he retire? McCowan, McGowan, same thing, although I think we'd see Bob in the MLB before Dustin.
Caper Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Will Arencibia walk tonight? I predict he gets at least 2 3-1 counts... but no walks.
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I don't either...I recall McCowan saying that JPA had improved defensively..
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 McCowan, McGowan, same thing, although I think we'd see Bob in the MLB before Dustin. GordieDougie, high85, same thing. You still managed to get his name wrong for a second time, which is pretty remarkable when you consider how well known McCown is.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 What about Wilson Ramos? Is he any good at this defensive stuff? Nats seem to be a bit spoiled with Ramos + Suzuki but its hard to see what needs they have. I like this plan... down year, inexplicable use of Suzuki in his place, average defense (which is a huge upgrade for us), and some nice upside.
