Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Rajai Davis on DL, call up RHP Chad Jenkins Boni more At-Bat.........f*** you Gose/Pillar/Sierra
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I think this means Jenking will start tomorrow as the Jays get swept and their season officially comes to and end.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 I need 3IP for Morrow to beat the minimum in my fantasy team.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 You wish you had my rotation in L3? Verlander, Lee, Greinke, Shields, Kuroda, Bailey, Corbin, Kazmir sick
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Morrow scratched for tomorrow, starting Wednesday instead, f***.
Dude Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Don;t feel bad nobody knows what he's talking half the time. We tried asking him to post in Spanish but it's worse than his English.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 You have Strasburg throwing today and Sale tomorrow? Edit: Just noticed you don't have Morrow so you're talking about a different league lol Another Yahoo league King Felix Scherzer Hamels Cingrani Morrow JJ (Add Cahill right now)
RickJay Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 So wait, how many position players are on this team now? 12? Christ, what a fiasco. You know how should have been fired some time ago? George Poulis. When did this team last NOT have an injury-plagued season?
digiblader Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Dodgers fans would like to talk to you about having injury-plagued seasons--they're missing a lot of big names as well, and their record's as bad as the Jays. Ditto for the Angels. Jenkins is likely up for a spot-start--then they'll likely call up Moises Sierra if Morrow is healthy enough to go on Wednesday.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 So are we on pace to double the man games lost this year than last year? lol
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Yaaaay. 3 man bench. 9 man bullpen. Starting jenkins after one aa start. Thanks, anthopoulos. Brilliant.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 So far we've wasted 4 starts on Romero, Laffey, and Ortiz. The team is 0-4 in those starts. Now we get to add a 25-year old who can't even K 5/9 at AA. This f***ing team. Don't worry, it's not like we have any bad contracts or anything.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 So Jenkins starts tomorrow? Should be another intereseting game..
kgm1 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Yaaaay. 3 man bench. 9 man bullpen. Starting jenkins after one aa start. Thanks, anthopoulos. Brilliant. First of all every one here knows I wasn't in favor of the trades but once done I didn't bitch . still how can we blame AA for the Happ line drive , Romero meltdown, and the Morrow back spasm.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Yaaaay. 3 man bench. 9 man bullpen. Starting jenkins after one aa start. Thanks, anthopoulos. Brilliant. What other option is there?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 What other option is there? You mean what other starting pitching options are there? Because I've got a motherf***ing list accumulated lol.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Jenkins gives us a start and then goes down no matter how he pitches and on Tuesday an OF is called upon. Jenkins then has to go down for 10 days unless someone else is added to the dl. So we better hope that Morrow is good to go on Wednesday or we get another RR start.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Another option is keep up Jenkins if he's effective and DFA or send down someone from the pen. A little pitching calendar May 12 - Jenkins May 13 - off day May 14 - Dickey May 15 - Morrow May 16 - Off day May 17 - Buehrle (Jenkins available in the pen) May 18 - Ortiz? (can DFA him if not effective and move a pen piece up) May 19 - Dickey May 20 - Morrow May 21 - Jenkins (then you send him down JJ expected to do a rehab start on the 21st) May 22 - Buehrle May 23 - Some garbage piece that you DFA after May 24 - Dickey May 25 - Morrow May 26 - JJ if ready. It's ugly no matter what but workable without too many horrid starts by Jenkins/Ortiz or other garbage. Now if Morrow's back/neck acts up and JJ doesn't get back we are screwed. What the f*** is with the 2 days off in a week, then 17 straight games and then 2 games off in a week again ******** anyway.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 For the love of gawd, just get Arrieta already, lol.
digiblader Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Blame the schedule makers. It just doesn't make sense--we only play 4 games this week, 2 at home, then back on the road to New York(again), then home series vs. the Rays and Orioles(I have tickets to the O's game)
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 For the love of gawd, just get Arrieta already, lol. Considering we are playing the O's right at the point we'll need a starter why would the O's bail us out cheaply?
admin Site Manager Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Maybe I'm optimistic, but I think Jenkins will do just fine.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Romero should not have been called up Totally agree and ditto Jenkins who has had only 1 start at AA since coming off the DL . YET look at the 40 man roster and you see why this happend . Now I do blame AA for the way this is constructed . Which is why I firmly believe we have to DFA Blanco and bring up Thole . That would free a 40 man spot . Also all those guys on the 60 day DL will need roster spots . This isn't going to get better . At the same time we started the year with 6 proven MLB starters .and not even 40 games into the season we have Happ, and JJ on the DL . Morrow questionable and missing starts , Romero on a severe meltdown, and Dickey with issues . We started with arguably the best rotation in the AL east and have had only one great start ( Buehrle,s today )
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Considering we are playing the O's right at the point we'll need a starter why would the O's bail us out cheaply? We probably should've done it a week ago, but honestly, I'm not saying to get him for need, I'm saying that he's a great starter for the long term, too. Maybe I'm optimistic, but I think Jenkins will do just fine. I think he'll be somewhat below league average but better than the shitbags we trot out on a regular basis.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 For the love of gawd, just get Arrieta already, lol. Why would they trade Jake Arrieta, they will need him at some point too . This time of year you will have to overpay for garbage . We gutted the minors already and will have huge 40 man roster problems when some of these guys start coming off the 60 man DL . Who are you going to DFA when Reyes , Hutch , Perez ,Drabek and McGowan come off the DL
kgm1 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Maybe I'm optimistic, but I think Jenkins will do just fine. I,m not , Guy needs more time after coming off the DL. We are throwing him to the wolves much like we did with RR after changing his delivery. Meh , Another year of DL madness
