I wonder if you're better off going into the playoffs with a stacked set of bats (or arms) and an average at best counterpart a la NJH/jaysblue/North or an above average set of both (like what I'm dealing with).

Of course, the ideal is being Silvergun or Dinger, but we can't all be so lucky.

I'm not sure it matters much, but probably better to have stacked bats. You can always stream Guthries and Vogelsongs and try to win K's and Wins, but you can't really stream for anything on offense.

I love watching a Carrasco implosion knowing the Howies own him in everything.

PL - Frag

LoD - NJH

BBDL - Spittin

DDL - (not sure but I don't think its North)

Your dumn

Edit: I have been told North owns Carrasco in the DDL. Im dumn.

I'm looking to add an OF. Looking for a deal with Aoki + draft pick, but open to any type of deals.

It will be interesting to see if this works for you. People keep trying this framework in the LOD (player + pick/prospect for upgrade) and nobody bites. I can't remember the last time we saw a deal like that in the DDL.

Wow, does Starlin Castro ever suck.

If I could thank this more than once, it would be a long clicky night.

He's carrying my offense in Arencibia Classic.

Very wise pick.

Cain and Shelby Miller's breakouts are killing me in that.

I am really just looking to add an OF by any means, but would prefer a deal like Aoki + pick for similar player

With Ozuna's puzzling demotion, I'm running without a CF and have Collabello and Paulsen as my starting OF.

I think Adames, Anderson and Robertson are all-bat, no-glove.

Adames made some fantastic plays in the game I went to this year. I'm betting his "he'll outgrow SS" tag has his defensive reviews staying negative. Zero chance you would have thought Crawford was the can't miss SS prospect, on that one game sample size.

BP list was absolutely awful.

So Jesse Winker has been on fire, wRC+ up to 118. Thought his bat was too slow for advanced pitching?

http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/fantasy-stash-candidate-rob-refsnyder/

For Queen B

Refsnyder hits for average, possesses excellent plate discipline, and has the potential to produce double-digit homers and steals. He is not currently on the 40-man, but the Yanks conveniently have an open spot, with just 39 players.

I can’t imagine it’ll take the Yankees too much longer to pull the plug on the thoroughly washed-up Drew, especially since they’re tied for the lead in the AL East. Refsnyder certainly seems ready, and it sure wouldn’t take much for him to outperform Drew. Fantasy owners in AL-only leagues are advised to go ahead and stash him now, if at all possible.[/Quote]

Where's the power though? He's got a .255 AVG and .123 ISO in AA through 92 games. That wRC+ is largely built on his impressive walk rate, but he won't be able to maintain that walk rate in the majors unless he's going to hit, and hit for power. You're talking about a strictly LF defensive profile, so unless the power comes around he's just another Robbie Grossman.

There's power there. Probably 20 ish HR pop as a finished product, I view him as more of a Shin Soo Choo.

God DAMN you Cliff Lee... Lucas Giolito is FIPing 1.68 and should be in AA any week now.

shouldn't you be damning Big Game James?

Maybe Nick Swisher with less power and defence?

Swish was a good switch hitter, I suspect Winker will be totally hapless against major league lefties.

If I still had Shields, I'd be much more okay with Gio's ascension. Shields is still good. Cliff Lee is a dead body.

Where is Cliff Lee now?

Fun Fact: After trading for Shields from you I then moved him for a package of prospects which included Alex Reyes, who is #10 on the BA list and the note attached says... "Reyes’ fastball/curveball combo isn’t far off Giolito’s"

North, if someone acknowledges you made a good pick in Arcia will you consider stfu about him?

Well done!

Kinda reminds me of Maicer Izturis.
