Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 KK, this has nothing to do with his name, and everything to do with his dreamy good looks. You can't tell me this isn't good baseball face: http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/21/files/2014/08/richie-shaffer-minor-league-baseball-charlotte-stone-crabs-fort-myers-miracle2.jpg
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Cutting: Rossell Hererra Derek Hill Reese McGuire 93 99 119 The rest of my guy are safe... for now.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Rosario, Finnegan and Plawecki activated to my Major League roster. I'll be dropping picks 36, 58, 78, 95 if someone doesn't want them.

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I'll cut 120. Too bad you didn't read your PMs. I just sent you a Trout for 120 offer moments ago. What a shame..
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I would move either of Jedd Gyorko or Mike Zunino for the best pick offered to me.
TRM Verified Member Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Too bad you didn't read your PMs. I just sent you a Trout for 120 offer moments ago. What a shame.. You're a penis
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 13. Three of your picks are after 100 though he's now got 36, 78 and 95 and my Forth waiver pick. I've got his first waiver
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Hurl, our deal can be processed in a few days -- are you still interested? You get: My first round waiver (2016) I get: Your 2nd round MiLB (2016)
TRM Verified Member Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Confirmed. Cut my lowest extraneous picks pleade. What does that leave me with?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I would move either of Jedd Gyorko or Mike Zunino for the best pick offered to me. 58 for both
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Hurl, our deal can be processed in a few days -- are you still interested? You get: My first round waiver (2016) I get: Your 2nd round MiLB (2016) My farm is going to be so stacked that I won't need that 23rd pick (maybe 24th with the run I'm on). It's getting too good for you though as my worst waiver pick is now my third. We have time to talk about this.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Confirmed. Cut my lowest extraneous picks pleade. What does that leave me with? 18, 36, 52, 78 & 95 with 98, 106, 118 and 120 being dropped.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 58 for both Would have taken this, but you already gave me 58.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Would have taken this, but you already gave me 58. I don't have room for anymore s***** prospects that I'm hoping turn it around before next years cutdowns anyway. I have my share of them. I'm pretty sure that guys like Plawecki, Rosario, Micah Johnson, Pierce Johnson et al won't make it past some of my guys coming off of the DL, much less the March cuts. f*** did I ever destroy my offense.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Jeff Hoffman Alex Jackson Spencer Adams Brady Aiken Amed Rosario Mark Appel Need to get rid of two prospects but I don't feel like any of them are poor enough to outright cut (except Appel but I can't do that out of principle) so any of the preceding names are available for the right price. I'm also looking to move pick 50, maybe combine with #16 for a slight upgrade or sexytimes prospect.

Come on man you are a stats based prospect guy...drop the athletic, projectable guys in Adams (where did the increasing velocity go?) and Rosario (6'2" ... he'll grow into his power stroke, more like he'll be taking up a spot on the 40 man while still playing in High A). Just drop them...there are 15% BB rate guys out there for you.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I'm set to cut Kingham (tjs) and Dom Smith (s*****) if anyone wants them for even a 1 pick upgrade at 24, 41, 44, 48. I already traded your pick. Approve my deal now.

I was considering dropping Rosario but I like to have one of these scouty darlings in case he actually does explode and also so that Dinger can't say I'm a pure stat scout, even though he does anyway. He's been increasing his walk rate and Savannah saps all power out of everyone. 113 wRC+ in A+ as a 19 year old with loud tools isn't something I'm eager to cut. I could cut Adams but my team is s***** enough that I can probably get away with early promotions in Appel and someone else. Maybe Berrios or Hoffman.

Make the March cuts fun. Did you already move up Correa, Adams Bird and Blackburn?

TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I approve/endorse this Dom Smith proposal. I'd say always a pleasure but normally it's kind of frustrating. But I mean, in this specific case, totally a pleasure. Firstly f*** you! Secondly, To Silvergun: 19. To Hurl: 24 and Dom Smith. To NJH 26: and my 3rd waiver draft. To Hurl: Niese and North's #1 waiver (another reason to cheer against North). Dom Smith is my pet project. That sweet left-handed swing that wows everyone in batting practice and makes everyone but opposing pitchers cry in game. A nice little streak of 15 doubles in 15 games won me back. It's the anti-Boxy pickup. Sorry for all the moves. Consider it housekeeping training for when you have to sort through Gibbers moves.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I'll promote Russell and drop Ti'Quann Forbes. I would trade Michael Taylor or Delino DeShields if I got an offer for a pick or picks I liked back. in the correct thread this time.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2015 Author Posted June 6, 2015 I am on the road so cannot process anything. Approve or the Niese trade though.

This is why you needed to keep Carlos Rodon. Bird and Blackburn don't have much/any value given your roster crunch.

Gave myself #24 because that's what you said in the trade note on Yahoo.

Can a guy that has Craig, Weeks, Nesbitt, Wieland, Ottavino and Tomlin really have a roster crunch? Do you think that deep down everyone wants Boxy's rebuilding from nothing situation, and that is why we all publicly tell him what we think he should do?
