BTS Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Oh I got em. I'll forward the thread to you, if you want. I don't want to read it. I'm quite certain I could have done very well had I not been such a greedy POS.

I don't think we were ever as close as you remember us to be. Greed definitely did kill the conversation though, as it pretty much shutdown after this offer you sent: "Holliday, Donaldson, Grandal for Lynn, Syndergaard"

It's possible, there's no written evidence to suggest that I wasn't into that, and I can't really remember. I was playing with house money in Donaldson at that point, and it wasn't completely obvious if he was gonna sustain the success he was having.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 You can basically trace huge portions of the success of two teams, and the mediocrity of two others, back to those ill-fated transactions. lol...what were the selections involved? I can't look it up at the moment.
TRM Verified Member Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 June 14th/15th. Apparently I was at a cottage, and talks stalled for the first night cause it appears I had gotten too drunk. My spelling and grammar was still of sound quality though. Interesting.

TRM Verified Member Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 For First/Second Rounders in the MiLB and MLB swaps Dinger: Miguel Cabrera, Madison Bumgarner, Byron Buxton, Gary Sanchez for Spanky: Justin Verlander, Jose Bautista, Taijuan Walker, Albert Almora

TRM Verified Member Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Min: Giancarlo Stanton, Hanley Ramirez, Carlos Correa, Kevin Gausman for KingKat: Prince Fielder, Adrian Gonzalez, Jose Fernandez, Jackie Bradley Jr.
TRM Verified Member Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I felt as though going deeper than the second round was semi-pointless and too much work.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Buckles looked steady through 3, but imploding now.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Very unwise decisions by Spanky. Meh, wasn't bad at the time. I still got useful pieces for those players.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I felt as though going deeper than the second round was semi-pointless and too much work. That's fine thanks, I just came to my PC to look it up, thanks.
TRM Verified Member Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 NJH, what waiver spot did you grab Buckles with? I went for him, but I figured I wouldn't nab him at 17 or wherever I was.

BTS Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Looking to move Jason Vargas for a prospect.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 11 hits (10 singles and 1 double) off of Buttholez in 4+ innings. That's an OBPA of .478
TRM Verified Member Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Looking to move Jason Vargas for a prospect. I could use that dude.
TRM Verified Member Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 For someone that got a free star, you do a lot of barking dear Min. Kluber and the Coredick have consoled me well in that dept at least. You know you're one of my favourites!
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I could use that dude. Send me a wise offer.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 Seems like Buccholz barely throws his low/mid 90s 4 seamer anymore, preferring to approach baseball is a pure junk baller: cutter 88 change 79 curve 77

Haven't really seen much of it since.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 Haven't really been anything in BBDL that close to Donaldson for picks. Worst two IMO that I can find are both Boxy. Carrasco for Gennett and McCarthy for Hoover. lol Boxy traded McCarthy for Didi in this league. Back in 2013

Haven't really seen much of it since. You're right, PitchFX has him using a 2-seamer over 50% of the time before today. Guy seems like a headcase.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 lol Boxy traded McCarthy for Didi in this league. Back in 2013 I said at the time that Didi Gregorious is terrible... ugh.
