So is everyone who traded into the first round pleased with their decision?

 

I traded down. Kinda wish I'd dealt #3 but at least I dealt most of my picks. Happy with that decision.

Yeah in hindsight you probably could have gotten a lot more for #3 than it ended up being worth. It was hard to judge though because Olivera could have signed at any moment before the draft. It was probably worth holding on to it just for that chance. There was also a guy that Yahoo probably should have had in the system...

Nope but still will do it next year with the FeatherD, as I still believe that MiLB picks are useless. I will admit that the AA rule makes it considerably different than the Fantasy Challenge league where there are 15 of Fangraphs 200 available.

 

Definitely. A 2nd round MiLB pick landed me a good, young closer and a reunion with Buerhle.

It would have been a bitch to roster Moncada for several years on the 20 though.

You really don't know that. I saw it happen with Bubba Starling, and everybody thought he was worth it.

 

You can always stash Moncada in a NA spot through the season. The cost would be re-acquiring the 11th bat/7th starter you dropped pre-cut to keep the spot open. I think it's worth it.

I think NJH was talking about Iglesias. Moncada would definitely be worth it too though. The kid is supremely talented.

Moncada is actually good at baseball, but my point was moreso that the cost wasn't as big as I think you alluded to.

Gibbers is stingy. I could get a Buxton-like haul for Moncada. Boxy would lay down Harvey+ in a heartbeat.
