Laika Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 I think he'll be an asset even if he puts up his 2012 peripherals. Seems to have a solid grasp on the setup role and its not like Jim Henderson is a sure thing. There were lots of guys I considered here. No fewer than five players available that I wanted to some extent.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Yes it is, shut your filthy mouth! I was referring to the nights where Jim Henderson needs rest after recording back-to-back-to-back saves. Don't worry, Henderson is a surefire lock for 50+ saves in 2014.

TRM Verified Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 You guys caught me at a bad time, haha. Been doing a fundrasing dodgeball tournament all afternoon, and won 100$ at the bar as the winning team so been drinking since six.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Nice pick, is Burton closing this year? Damn! Perkins. I was flip-flopping back and forth between Burton and Smith. CatsAss is up.
TRM Verified Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Nice pick, is Burton closing this year? Damn! 8th inning guy. Still Perkins. Fien is in the mix too, but I imagine if Perkins goes down they probably look at Burton. Who knows?
TRM Verified Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Perkins. I was flip-flopping back and forth between Burton and Smith. CatsAss is up. Ha! Burton is also my second returning player that I've drafted in the waiver draft (Erlin also).
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Ahh yes, well he made your decision easy, lol. Lol yeah. I predict both have very similar value. 20-25 holds with average numbers for a reliever. That being said, watch Burton end up recording 35 holds while Smith falls apart.

Laika Community Moderator Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 I was on both Smith and Burton, but ended up just going with the holds guy who had the higher projected K rate.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I like Burton's skills a lot and from everything I've heard he's the set-up man to start the season in Minnesota. Good pick. I have him ahead of a lot of the set-up guys taken so far.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 You guys caught me at a bad time, haha. Been doing a fundrasing dodgeball tournament all afternoon, and won 100$ at the bar as the winning team so been drinking since six. Six is late. But remember. it's 5 oclock somewhere
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 If I pick a make believe player like spanky is it the same as an all star?
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 If you can't decide who you want, you could always deal me your pick for my next pick and a slight MiLB upgrade.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I think it's safe to say CatsAss is hammered right now. He picked "the Chinese guy" and then he even heckled z3r0s on his outdated trade block telling him it's his turn.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Figured it out. He took Suk-Min Yoon. z3r0s is on the clock.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Boxy? No name dropping please. He's my sleeper for the next round.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 No name dropping please. He's my sleeper for the next round. Did you wake up in a bed, or passed out in a ditch with no shirt on?
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 So when does z3r0s' clock expire?
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 So when does z3r0s' clock expire? Depends how you want to look at it. If it expires when TCA said he picked, and added the player on Yahoo, it would have already expired. If it expires when I posted on the thread explaining who he picked, it expires at 4:38.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 Let's go with 4.38 Has he been emailed? He was on proboards this morning but failed to pick...
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 So when does z3r0s' clock expire? Cat's ass made his pick at 12:41 AM, so it's already expired.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Let's go with 4.38 Has he been emailed? He was on proboards this morning but failed to pick... A cardinal sin in our league! I just sent him an e-mail now so hopefully he sees it before his clock expires. We've made great progress the last few days though so we have plenty of time. We'll probably finish by next Monday.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Cat's ass made his pick at 12:41 AM, so it's already expired. There was some confusion about that though. No one was selected in the draft thread, and no name was dropped in this thread.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 No name dropping please. He's my sleeper for the next round. Does that mean you're tanking this year?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 z3r0s pops Dustin McGowan. Sammy on the clock.
