Just caught up on the highlights I missed and wowwwwwwwwww Richard Panik is awesome.

 

We have such a good core. Can't wait until Nonis/Carlyle are gone and we can start becoming contenders.

 

If the Maple Queefs keep winning its going to be hard to justify firing them. I don't think Nonis matters too much as it seems like Dubas and his analytics guys are calling the shots while Nonis is just the guy who just makes them official.

Going to be hard to do that if they make the playoffs. Long term its obviously the best move but it reminds me of the Raptors and Dwayne Casey last season. Casey might not be the best coach but they couldn't fire him after the season they had.

Difference is Casey makes questionable decisions and Carlyle is just functionally disabled.

Jimmy Johnson was fired after back to back superbowl wins.. If babcock wanted the leafs' job, i dont think FO will hesitate to hire him and fire carlyle

Also anyone else feel like Hometown Hockey Sundays have been a flop? I haven't found myself watching it more than once or twice this year. Sundays are for NFL.
