That's incredible when you think of it. The game is so fast now. Gartner was a freak to be that fast 2 decades ago. Over 700 goals.

I know, it's nuts... he did that as a Leaf by the way, lol. Mr. Consistent, 30 goals every year but his injured shorten year, and his swan song with the Yotes, I believe. I'll always remember him as a Cap.

P.S. Most under-rated player ever.

I remember him in the Canada Cups and best on best tourneys. He was always blazing around getting tons of opps but totally snake bit. Consistent sniper. One thing to have speed but another to convert it to production like he did. I have not been following NHL all star stuff much as its lost my interest but honestly I would have thought his record was broken ages ago with the pace of today's NHL and full inclusion of Europeans.

Same, it blew me away. I switched over and saw them talking about it. I kind of liked the dogs in Washington against the Isles, and really liked Gartner, that overtime goal by Pat Lafontaine on Peeters in the 4th OT game 7, I'll never forget.

I think it was pistol Pete, lol.

Edit: Man, I was so young. The NHL was my church then, along with the Jays of course.

GRETZKY TIL I DIE!!!

I know. Long ago :) me too. I grew up worshipping Bobby Orr and the Bruins in NS. Loved the cold war battles with the hated but talented USSR. Then I started mixing in the Expos and the Jays. I'm more ball now than hockey. Although when my Bruins finally beat the Canucks for the Cup I was pretty stoked.

I missed Bobby Orr, I feel cheated.

Did anyone watch that 5OT game between Pittsburgh and Philly in 2000? I remember staying up so late on a school night watching it, only to be absolutely crushed when Primeau scored the winner. Ron Tugnutt played his dick off in that game, stopping 70 of 72 shots.

The stupid f*** commissioner, bouncing around questions about who called John Scott is a joke.

That's pathetic.

Kind of funny to me that they're going back to the 1938 logo.

The Markham Waxers AAA logo is the same leaf.

Stamkos played for the Waxers.

Illuminati confirmed?

Nah, it's similar, but better.
