burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 He had potential He's a defenceman who can't defend. I still think he has potential but it seems like he has Jared Cowen syndrome. Just out of position far too often.
Frag Verified Member Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 He had potential I remember when people were calling Schultz the better defenceman over Gardiner while they were NCAA teammates. How times have changed since then!
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Varlamov on IR. Good news for the Sens tonight but not JFas for his fantasy team.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Ew. Groin injury is the worst for a goalie too. Thats a huge blow.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Or Luke Schenn for Leafs fans! Well that trade worked out at least.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2014 Author Posted October 16, 2014 Burke made some damn nice trades. Schenn for JVR, Beauchemin for Lupul+Gardiner, etc
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Burke made some damn nice trades. Schenn for JVR, Beauchemin for Lupul+Gardiner, etc Dougie Hamilton and Tyler Seguin for Phil Kessel.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Leafs just shouldn't trade with Boston. I don't mind the Kessel trade as much as the Rask for Raycroft one... Lol I forgot about that one too. Didn't they get a huge return for Kaberle's corpse though?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 They got Colborne and picks for him. Edit: Just looked it up, they recieved Bostons 1st in the 2011 draft and a conditional pick. They then traded that 1st and their 2nd round for Anaheims 1st where they selected Tyler Biggs. Anaaheim used the Boston pick for Rickard Rakell. 1st round pick for a rental is a really good get. Don't think Gms are that dumb anymore unless its a star going back the other way.

The Raycroft one obviously hurt. He sucked.

The Raycroft one obviously hurt. He sucked. Whoever wrote that piece is pretty stupid. Said Phill Kessel wasn't worth one draft pick because he was -28 over 2 years while scoring 119 points. He also said trading Kaberle was a bad trade...Derp

reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Does anyone know of a site that gives some in depth hockey stats? The stats will obviously never be nearly as good as baseball, but all I can find is stuff related to Corsi and Fenwick, these aren't overly useful.

Extra Skater was perfect but now that its gone BehindtheNet isn't bad but it can be pretty confusing.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 DangleFactory will eventually. Do you know someone that works there? Seems you know a lot about it.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Looks like Kozun will miss some time, bring up leivo?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Yes. How long do you expect it to take? If its anything like Extra Skater I'm really excited. Not sure why NHL.com doesn't include advanced stats. It could be so much better and actually give casual fans understanding.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Gustav Nyquist is a f***ing monster.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Buffalo might just be the worst team in NHL history. Guaranteed to get one of the top 2 picks. Tim Murray knows how to rebuild.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Who the hell writes the rotoworld updates that yahoo uses as their player notes? "Yes, "The King", Henrik Lundqvist allowed just one goal to Carolina Thursday night. Advice: The Rangers weren't great, but Lundqvist sure was. Stopping 29-30 shots in 65 minutes of play, plus all eight shots he saw while on special teams, and all three shootout attempts. In four starts this season The King has been beated 15 times, but 12 of them came in his second and third starts combined." It's just embarrassing at this point. That's high-school quality writing.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 The king got belated lol. Its funny because the emails I view at work are littered with similar mistakes..and my grammar is piss poor
