Boston is falling apart--Middlebrooks on the DL with back spasms, Victorino also on the DL with a hamstring strain--and a tough schedule ahead with the Indians, Phillies and YANKEES.. this is the last thing they need. Iglesias called up to play 3B--but they had to call up Alfredo Aceves instead of JBJ for OF depth, because the Sox bullpen is quite short after Dempster's bad start.

 

It's bad because it means fringe guys like Carp and Ciriaco will play regularly--and neither are decent options.

 

Tampa, Detroit, Cleveland, Oakland and New York are likely licking their chops right now because of Boston's problems..
