  1. They need Skubal, Skenes, Judge
  2. What will happen if in next CBA salary cap will be 300m max? Do the Dodgers and their 500m payroll need to be cut to 300m ?
  3. This explains why the Yankees and other big spanding teams didn't wanted to overpaid for free agents. They let Dodgers play alone buying WS championships. For sure next CBA a real salary cap will be voted, and probably defferal money no allowed.
  4. To be fair, Red Sox improved their lineup, Suarez is a good signing for them, and if they find Bregman replacement, they will be as good than Jays.
  5. I don't think Tucker want sign with Mets long term, he probably use them to make Jays and Dodgers make better offers.
  6. The guys they should sign is Bellinger for 6-7 years at 35 millions max annualy. Bo in few years speed will decrease again, with all the legs injuries he had , so will be a bad contract at end. This can be risky sign Bellinger 6-7 years, but we are lucky, coz Boras will want add an op out after 2-3 years, so if he want to op out in few years, we should let him go☺️
  7. For the player, deferrals doesn't mean he will receive less money in total, and will be doubtful that after he will get 120/4. For this he need avoid injuries and have great stats, so for peace of mind, 320/8 is better than 200/4. I just hope if we sign him long term, this won't end up like when we get Tulowitzki .
  8. If rumors are trues about Mets offering 200/4, and that Jays offer is around 245/7, I understand Tucker wish Jays add more money, so will take 320/8 to convince him sign with Toronto. Probably Atkins will agree, if deferred money included. On other hand, 6/220 for Bellinger is better than 320/8 forTucker.
  9. DH-Springer 2B-Donovan 3B-Vlad RF-Barger LF-Santander C-Kirk 3B-Clement CF-Varsho SS-Gimenes
  10. It's overpaid for Tucker, he don't worth 50m annualy. If we can get Bellinger 35 m annualy for 6-7 years will be better invest than overpaid for Tuck for similar offensive stats. Or maybe trade with the Cards for 2B Brendan Donovan, so we can keep Clement at 3B, Barger/Lukes RF, and Santander/Okamoto LF.
  11. Similar offer they did in past with Scherzer and Verlander.
  12. Atkins should offering same contract offer to Cody Bellinger that he did with Tucker. If Tucker really wanted sign here, he will already have done it, instead weating Mets or another team match Jays offer to sign elsewhere. Funny to say, but this seem easier for Atkins to negotiate with Boras this offseason, and so far we signed 2 of his clients (Cease, Okamoto) So just give him the 7/240 he want.
  13. Why no sign Bellinger instead of Tucker? Just make same offer to Belinger that for Tucker. Yankees are out for Bellinger, and Boras seem to want make business with the Jays. I think that will be between Mets and Jays for Bellinger and Tucker. Dodgers probably wait trading for Skubal
  14. The same about Tucker market, when Dodgers and Mets are supposedly lurking around him. Yeah, for sure Dodgers desperatly need him, so they will agree to pay him 40m annualy + 110 % penality, because exceeding the luxury tax threshold by 60 millions 3 years in a row 😄 Cohen can be stupid, but he probably learned from his mistakes, to give too much money to Lindor and Soto, and overpaid SP like Scherzer and Verlander.
  15. Yes, especially we have no one to replace Varsho in CF, and for someone with elite defense who can hit 20 HR+, 10m is no overpaid.
  16. He won 2 times the gold glove in Japan, so we shouldnt worry too much about his defensive skills.
  17. The biggest question is if Clement and Barger will be as good in 2026, than last year. Actually their trade values is high, and if opportunities to acquire Marte or Bregman happens, will be hard to say no.
  18. Bo won't be back, and Tucker just wait Dodgers offering him better contract offers. Bregman will be a great signing, but we will need to trade Santander, so Okamoto will play LF. A packages Santander + Berrios + retain $$$ can attract teams like the Pirates, Reds.
  19. At first I was really hopping Jays sign Tucker, but now, I am starting to think it's a bad idea, because I don't believe Tucker really want to sign here, or even with other big markets like Boston or New York. The reasons? He will have more pressure to perform to justify his overpaid contract, than if he sign with the Dodgers. In LA, spotlights are on Ohtani, Yamamoto, Mookie, Smith. Also, signing Okamoto and Bregman, will make Jays lineup better than with Tucker only. The Japanese he's able to hit 20 HR, .265+ AVG and play different positions on the field. Bregman will be good too, and we can move Clement at 2B, use Barger RF.
  20. Yes, something like 5 years 200m. It's arguably better than Tucker 10 years for 400m. Signing Bregman shouldn't prevent Atkins to make a trade for Marte, Clement will play ss , and Jays defense will remain great. Or if can't get Marte, sign Imai, this will greatly improve the team, and we shouldn't worries, coz Berrios will be traded, Bieber he's no 100% healthy, so JS can use a rotation with 6 SP (Gausman, Cease, Yesavage, Imai, Bieber, Ponce) In fact if Atkins make few trades to dump salaries, we can get Bregman, Marte and Imai☺️
  21. He's waiting that the Dodgers match the offer Jays make. So doesn't sound really interested to play here, otherwise he will already have signed with the Jays. He just want use Jays to get better offer from the team he hope to sign. So better to look elsewhere, Marte or Bregman are good alternative. Bellinger was a good option, but 400m for him if this is true, is a lot too much. Bichette, probably received the best contract offer from the Jays too, but like Tucker, he's waiting for other teams to match the Jays offer.
  22. Francis, Macko and Estrada can easily be dfa, they are no mlb caliber, at less for a team like the blue jays. For people worried that we have 7SP, Bieber have great chance return on injury list in 2026, Ponce remain a gambling, Berrios will be traded, so in fact we can add Imai.
  23. I am hesitent to trade Gimenez, better trade Santander, Garcia and Berrios instead. But maybe this won't happen before spring training camp, coz potential suitors will want to see if they are healthy.
