    No need to lost time trying get Skubal, he won't be interested to sign with the Jays, better try get Logan Weeb or Freddie Peralta instead. Then add a very good hitter with power, and a reliever for the 8 inning that can save game when Varland no available.

    He will be better, coz will get better pitches, if have a very good hitter that follow him in batting order. When you have guys like Okamoto, Barger, Sanchez or Varsho, it's no stressful, so can quietly send Vlad fishing.

    Even in the minors , his stats wasn't impressives, and since he play in MLB, prior to last year, he didn't showed he can be a threat in offense. So if Atkins have a chance to get Gunnar Henderson, and Orioles want a packages with few top 10 prospects+ Mlb players like Barger, Lukes, or Pinango, shouldn't hesitate. Why Henderson? He's good in defense and have power, so having him in the infield will drastically improve the defense, because Clement will play at 3B, Gimenez at 2B, Gunnar SS, Vlad 1B, Kirk/Valenzuela .

    I am no sold on Barger to be a regular 3B or RF, He's average in defensive, and he lack regularity in offense. If Jays still dream win a WR, will need add very good players to play at 3B and RF.

    Okamoto will probably won't return next year, especially if his family still in Japan, so I won't be surprised if he ask for terminate his contract to return in Japan.

    Springer, Varsho, Vlad, are usually good in post game interview.

    Barger will likely return at 3B when he return from injury. Pinanga, Lukes, Jesus, are enough for LF, just need add a RF who can hit many HR and help the offensive.

    Yes, Miles, Valenzuela, Pinanga, Macko are very good surprises this year. They also don't cost much, and easily will put Sosa, Heineman, Schneider, Rodriguez out of the lineup soon.

    Hoffman vs guys who aren't Aaron Judge who try hit grand slam without runner on the bases on every throw, it's easier than face guys who are smart, let him put himself in trouble, throwing too many pitches, and do mistakes.

    They won't be, because of all the holes in the lineup. But this doesn't mean, Atkins should sit and do nothing till 2027. Hopefully guys like Sosa, Heineman, Schneider, Rodriguez will be send in Buffalo, so we keep Valenzuela, Pinango, Lukes, Macko, and add Kasevich. Also need to realize Bieber, Garcia, Scherzer, Berrios are now useless , and need be replaced by better players. Atkins should first start bring 2 very good relievers, a good SP, and someone who can hit 30 HR + .

    Hope if Jays don't score runs, JS won't bring Hoffman for the 9 inning

    His strength is when he trades for guys like Pinanga, Fischer, Clement, Varland, but big weakness, can't get a #1 closer, and can't improve the offense, wait too long waiting free agents ghost him for the Dodgers

    Another good unexpected trade result from Atkins, we get him for Nate Pearson. Remind me the Biggio trade for Fisher😃

    He deserve to stay with the team, Schneider, Sosa can be send in Buffalo when Lukes or Barger will be back in the lineup.

    The good thing, is that many big contract off the book at end of season, so Atkins can right now start trading for good players, and no spend winter free agency waiting for guys willing sign with the Dodgers ghost him 🫠

    Better trade Barger if we can get someone like Buxton or Alvarez in a packages deal.

    If he sign a new contract extension, he can't be overpaid coz he's mostly usefull only in defense. Will be better move on and get a new CF, who can hit and have decent defensive skills and speed. Someone like Byron Buxton will be perfect, even if can cost a Barger or Lukes + few top 10 prospects, other than Parker and King.
