  1. I am no sold on Santander ``come back of the year`` because he's injury prone, and 44 HR is an anomaly for him, 25 HR will be more realistic if he stay fully healthy. So we will saw few other guys in LF (Straw, Okamoto, Schneider) but unless Barger struggle, Bellinger won't be a big upgrade in RF. The best way to improve lineup will be to trade for a good 2B or LF if Santander still no 100% healthy. Atkins can also sign Framber Valdez, even if we still have Bieber, anyway Shane will end up on injury list and he only agreed return coz he was injured. With Gausman, Cease, Valdez, Yesevage, Pounce, we will have the best SP group in American league. Add Donovan , make few trades to reduce payroll, then roster will be greatly improved.
  2. He proved that money more important for him. He should have choose Phillies, and play 2B, instead to play 3B and be worst defensively than when he was playing SS
  3. Arenado, Donovan win historic Gold Glove Awards
  4. He won a gold glove few years ago, often hit for .270, . 280 AVG, things that Schneider will never do.
  5. Maybe because other teams like Mariners, Red Sox, Baltimore, Yankees will continue to improve their team with trades and free agent signing. We lost Bichette bat and didn't replaced him. We shouldn't have too much expectations on Santander, Barger, Lukes, because the first he's prone injury, and the last two just had the best season in their career. Barger in minor league wasn't a star player, so he probably come back to prior 2025. And the actual lineup is filled with many guys who barely can hit for .230 AVG, We saw the result in game 3 during WS , when have too much similar players in lineup.
  6. Padres lost many good players, and they have financial problem, so maybe it's time to see if Tattis or Mason are available.
  7. They are rumor Seattle want Nootbaar and Donovan, and Yankees also interested in Donovan. To take advantage of the Cards, is like when teams take advantage of the Twins last year. opportunities get good players at discount price.
  8. It's why if you get Donovan and Bellinger, top 5 will be, Springer, Donovan, Vlad, Bellinger, Santander
  9. Less than 90 wins, coz we didn't replaced Bo bat, and Santander, Barger are no safe bet, so other than Vlad and Springer, lineup is full of guys who shouldn't be top 5 in batting order.
  10. Schneider he's a .220 AVG, have some power but with poor defensive skills
  11. He's far better than IKF, Schneider, or what we have in Buffalo at 2B or SS.
  12. Yep, instead offering 8-10 years contract at fair annual salary , need to offer 2-3 years contract at 40m annualy. So 3/120 for Bellinger
  13. Donovan can easily hit for .275+AVG, 15+HR with good defensive skills and can play 3B,2B,LF, and cost 5.8 m annualy. This mean u can even sign Bellinger if really want, and trade guys like Straw, Schneider, Lukes
  14. Dodgers GM said after he sign DIaz, that if you want to close a deal, you sometime need overpaid than remaining rational, otherwise u will finish second or third. Jays seem to finish too much often third, behind Dodgers and Mets.
  15. Atkins should take advantage of the Cards fire sales, and trade for Brendan Donovan. Doing this, we can use Clement at 3B, Barger RF, so we will have good defense excepted at LF when Santander will be in starting lineup.
  16. He's a .270 AVG, 25HR, 25SB and above average defender. Guys like Bellinger, Robert Jr can do that too. You trade for Donovan and daily use Barger RF, you get better offensive than Tucker. Otherwise Barger will split time with Okamoto at 3B
  17. Yes, but Mets and Jays, they need a OF more than a 2B. So it's why I think Bellinger will get slightly more than Bo.
  18. Tucker he's overrated
  19. The second that what Jays and Mets offered to Tucker was leaked and no what Dodgers offered leaked, was obvious that Dodgers was the team Tucker wanted from the beginning. Strangely was the same about Diaz, but no with other top free agents. So far we don't know what teams offered to Bichette, Bellinger , Schwarber, Bregman. All we read, was names of teams interested to sign these guys.
  20. 5/160 Because all other top guys like Schwarber, Alonso, Bregman get 5 years contracts. Bellinger will probably get 5/175 or 6/210 from Jays or Mets
  21. Jays and Mets should learn from their mistakes. The second their offers are leaked, they should ASAP remove them, coz they are used by agents to make Dodgers give more cash.
  22. The same about Bichette, Tucker or Bellinger. They are all injury prone. I think Popkin can fix Robert Jr, and he can bounce back with the Jays.
  23. If nothing changes, teams will have difficulties sell tickets, and they won't overpaid like Dodgers do. Also, those who take advantage of the system are the top free agents, other players won't be overpaid.
  24. Jays can sign Bellinger or make a trade with Cards for Donavan and with the White Sox for Robert Jr . The 2 will cost less than Tucker, and with similar stats each. Donovan will cost someone like Nimmala, Schneider and Stanifer. Robert Jr, Loperfido and low end prospects.
