    I would have liked to have a CY young winner for a non shortened season who isn’t stitched together but I won’t be picky. We only need him for 4-5 games. You’d think the warranty on a Tommy John should be longer than a dozen games.

    Yea but we know Schitler. Red Sox lineup is especially trash. Jays can handle him. He didn't magically become an ace overnight like Trey did and is.

    Now that we are making the alcs 85% of the time, can we speculate more on if Bo is coming back or are we just forgetting about that guy completely?

    yea definitely ace upside but we should not be disappointed if he isn’t an ace. After manoah we should be happy if we have ourselves a 3rd starter who pitches year after year. A number 1 would be a bonus and save us 150m which is nice. didnt Aaron Sanchez have a couple really good years and then kind of disappear as well?

    He is having better results in the majors than his combined minor league stats. Not looking into underlying stuff now. wonder if he has just progressed Hopefully he can do it a few more times this year and can be a solid 3/4 starter going forward

    Yea I guess, I don't think necessarily they have a better fan experience than say the Jays or Redsox who win sometimes but not a lot. When they win, I'm sure it doesn't feel as good when your payroll is double most other teams. They are more bitter and disappointed when they don't win. If you won all the time, the same excitement isn't there because it's just expected. What's the point in watching when the threat of heartbreak isn't an inch away. And still, it isn't working out for the yankees or mets who are trying to do the same thing.

    The thing that scares me about if we did somehow win a World Series. I read dodgers stuff online all the time and they are upset all the time just like every other fan base. So really a World Series buys you a month of excitement during playoffs and a couple weeks of basking in the win. Then back to misery and thinking they are entitled to a World Series the next year and every year after that. Same deal with Astros fans, they are miserable despite basically a decade of success.

    Fangraphs now has dodgers 33%, 18% jays, 4% yankees Mariners still better odds than Tigers being down a game.

    I have always watched the jays first since around 97. But I do like the mariners second. Being on Vancouver island there was a yearly field trip for the grade 7s to go to Seattle, get our own hotel rooms and watch a game. Even made money betting a kid they don’t have to play the bottom of the 9th when the mariners were winning.
