I think you should use them as often as possible in any close game situations. Its the World Series. They're all important, especially only down 2.

Down 3-1 in the 7th inning. Why not try to keep it at a 2 run game? I don't get your reasoning here. Use a good reliever to try to keep it there. They believe they can score two runs. You're not going to punt the game away there. Especially with a day off tomorrow.

You think very highly of Varland. Or very little of every other reliever. I agree that Hoffman coming in here is weird. I'm fine with Varland in his situation.
