Management has effectively shut down whatever momentum our best hitter over the past month had in Brandon Valenzuela. I get Kirk has to play but to overwhelmingly get this many starts over BV is an oversight. So management is good with BV getting two starts per week?
The only way this team will find the same luck as last year if there are a few injuries to underperformers and the likes of Sean Keys and possibly someone else coming up and play "hungry" ball. A good right handed hitting outfielder acquired at the deadline would be nice also.
Agreed but he's a free agent next year and likely his last here in Toronto, there's no need to continuously kiss his ass imo. Batting him and Vladdy a little farther down is a no brainer right now for a team that is serious about winning.
