  1. 3 plays by Bam Bam in right that Taters probably doesn't make.
  2. It's been a real treat to watch Max turn back the clock tonight. What a job. Better than we could have hoped for.
  3. I'm pretty sure they'll have Bassitt loosened up to take over if there's early trouble. Hopefully Mad Max shoves.
  4. He played last game. Don't think he came to the plate.
  5. I think you're right. It looked like someone told him while he was standing at 2nd.
  6. I'd be happy if we didn't see Varland again till next year as a starter. Little on the other hand is exactly the type of reliever you need in the postseason. Why? Because he doesn't give up homers. He led the league with 79 appearances and gave up 2 homers. TWO HOMERS!! Yeah he's wild at times but he's also extremely nasty. If you asked opposing players which Jays reliever they'd rather not face Little would be the first name out of their mouth. This idea by some that Little shouldn't be in the game is ludicrous!!
  7. And the Jays have 0 homers since the first pitch of the series. Seattle's hard hit balls are leaving the yard and the Jay's are finding gloves. That's baseball unfortunately. Our pitchers need to locate better and the batters need to stay the course. It'll turn around. Hopefully tomorrow.
  8. The dingers and strikeouts lineup should be pitchable with the scrappy type Jays lineup being less so providing you locate your pitches. When you've got guys like Varland who throw it middle middle it usually doesn't end well. When the Jays are scrappy AND hit homers like they did against the Yankees they're next to unbeatable. That's just not happening atm (credit Seattle pitching). The divisions they play in are fairly even with the perennially bad Angels being the difference.
  9. The postseason is a short term trend being the problem. The less you perform the shorter it is. The team was firing on all cylinders against the Yankees now they've all seemingly gone cold. I guess we need to give credit to Seattle pitching. It would be easier for Vlad to perform if he had some help for sure. If Kirk, Barger and Varsho were dangerous behind him things would be different. Short term Tiger positioning has them on the sidelines. It's the long term migration of the Mariners that's giving us problems.😄
  10. What a f***king nightmare!! But we lost the first 2 at home to Texas in a 5 gamer in 2015 and we all know how that turned out.
  11. I'm going to revoke my apology pretty soon.
  12. That should be the last time Varland is trusted this year. It doesn't matter how hard you throw if you can't locate. People *****ing about Little make me laugh. He led the league in appearances this year and gave up 2 homers. Varland has given up more than that this postseason.
  13. We sure could use some damage from the left-handed hitters not named Lukes.
  14. Ok boys. Get on the sticks!! No f**king around today.
  15. Let's go boys!!! Give the M's the same treatment you gave the Yankers!!
  16. He's turned over a new Leaf. Or is it a new Blue Jay?😆
  17. Strange quirk - all of our infielders list alphabetically before the outfielders.🤔
  18. https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article/blue-jays-bo-bichette-remains-off-roster-for-alcs-against-mariners/
  19. To the Poultry Police? Did I hit a fowl ball?😄
  20. Hate is a strong word. The only time I've felt that way about Vlad was when he stood at the mic right before spring training this year. The rest of the time it's been the same frustration that most fans have felt with him. The second ½ of September this year especially. The fact that he looked dominant in the ALDS and helped KO the Yankees has eased everyone's concerns. Let's hope that something has clicked and he's unlocked that potential that we all knew was in there. I live and die with this team for 6 months every year (hopefully 7 months this year). Watching Vlad destroy that GS and fling the bat was right up there with Joe Carter's epic homer just because it was the Yankees. But the job isn't done. Seattle is a good team with a pretty tough pitching staff. If an apology will help him stay locked in for 8 more wins sign me up. Sorry Vlad! Sorry I doubted you! Now get back to work!😆 BTW. I "hate" Swiss Chalet. I'd rather get a batters box any time.
