    Not sure how in 2024 you could ever have Kirk batting 4th but at least Clement has forced his way into the everyday lineup.

    I mean we are all guessing here and can never know for sure what's going on. Martinez has been the hitting coach since 2018 and it could be time for a change anyways. The average length of tenure for active MLB hitting coaches is about 2.4 years.

    This team would be a whole lot better if Vladdy and Kirk's bats didn't turn to mush. Not sure how Guillermo Martinez wasn't fired in the offseason.

    If YRod and Ricky T. turn out to be the real deal the Jays good be a nice spot to move some pitching for a bat or really good hitting propects. A nice bonus too if Manoah can turn things around a bit and be a decent MLB arm though I wouldn't count on it. Long term it could be best for the Jays if they are out of it at the trade deadline and someone is desperate for pitching help. However I don't have a lot of faith in Atkins making the right moves.
