  1. Jano delivers more runs!! I think that was a hit with a runner in scoring position!!
  2. Springer batting 1st, Guerrero batting 3rd and Bichette batting 5th. Jays are spreading out the suck.
  3. Atkins made a terrible decision when he decided to go all in on pitching and defence at the expense of hitting. It's like playing the trap in hockey. The only time it's not a miserable experience is if you win it all. 2023 was the year to go for it. We had the expiring contracts. A few years left of control on Bo and Vlad, and a solid starting rotating, It was a natural year to roll the dice and go for it all while this year would have been the natural year to retool and evaluate where to go next. All Atkins needed to do was bring back the same team from 2022 while shoring up the bullpen and buying bullpen arms at the deadline is usually easier and cheaper than getting a great bat. Instead Shatkins went all galaxy brain. The Jays blew the best year of the Bo and Vlad era and now have years of control of a team that will be lucky to make the playoffs and is no fun to watch. Funny thing is Atkins actually had the opportunity to right the ship a bit by bringing back Teo or Gurriel this offseason but failed there too.
  4. Atkins isn't going to fire himself and going for a rebuild now is basically admitting he did a bad job.
  5. This team as it's constructed is a low scoring, good pitching and defensive team which means nearly every game is going to be tight. Every in game decision becomes absolutely crucial and the team simply can't afford to give up an edge by making managerial mistakes. Every decision is just much more important. That goes for the replay team as well which IMO has been awful. It's kind of difficult to rate how Schneider is doing though because it's hard to know just what decisions are coming from him and what's coming from the nerds in the front office. At times it feels like he's just there to implement a game plan the front office has come up with. That game plan seems flawed or at least slow to adapt to fast changing conditions. It's like they don't know when to use a bigger sample sizes or when a recent smaller sample size is more relevant. I do think the bulk of the blame ultimately is on Shapiro and Atkins. It's their ship. They built this. Not sure what they are going to do but I think the entire decision making process should be under review. What I don't want them to do is fire Schneider and promote Mattingly. I'm not a fan of Mattingly at all.
  6. Jays bullpen may be in serious trouble. Yimi Garcia was unavailable because he’s been dealing with a lower back issues since Wednesday.
  7. Complete waste of a great start from Kikuchi.
  8. The good part of the order is coming up in the 8th so there's a chance the Jays can find something.
  9. Swanson was so good last year too until the Jays used him until his arm fell off.
  10. It wouldn't be a Blue Jays baseball game without Vlad waving at a breaking ball way out of the zone.
  11. That's really close. Clement might be out.
  12. Would be better if this ump was a robo ump.
  13. Got something cookin' here. Bring 'em home Varsho.
