  1. Time for Jano to go on the injured list cause he only mashes for the first 3 weeks when he gets off it then goes ice cold apparently.
  2. Good at bat from Vladdy to take the walk.
  3. Have to hope that someone wants some outfield defense off the bench because even the Jays who loves their veteran presence pinch hit rookie Barger and his 6 wRC+ for him yesterday.
  4. Kind of would have rather Turner had a chance to swing the bat instead of getting hit by the pitch.
  5. Nice. Barger takes the walk to start the inning. Lets go Jays!
  6. Nice quick inning from Richards.
  7. Nice ovation for Yariel and well deserved. That was some nice pitching. Now hopefully the bullpen can find a way to not suck.
  8. Nice double play!
  9. Great start by Yariel. Can't ask for much more than that.
  10. YRod doing work. Lets get him some runs.
  11. Infield pop up from Clement isn't ideal. Hopefully KK can put us on the board.
  12. We could celebrate doctors or teachers or anybody really without having to celebrate the troops every year. There's lots of worthy Canadians worth celebrating.
  13. CB Bucknor behind the plate. Happy Canada Day Jays fans!
  14. The ceremony is well done and all but I'm not really a fan of making Canada Day all about the troops. They did it last year as well with army guys repelling from the rafters. I don't know it feels like an American's idea of what celebrating Canada is. Oh well. The ovation for Buck was nice.
  15. I was not a fan of the IKF signing but he's really living up to his end of deal!
  16. Yeah a dismal 56 wRC+ But they've been platooning him a lot more this month it seems which I don't think is helping him at all.
  17. He has a 80 wRC+ this year vs lefties (coming in to this game) and a 120 wrc+ against righties yet we trot him out there every time we face a lefty and rest him more often vs righties. The talk when he first came up was that he had reverse splits in the minors but I can't seem to find those stats at the moment. He had great stats against lefties (and righties) in 2023 but I think you have to discount that a lot because he came up and hit everything at an unprecedented historical rate that was completely unsustainable. Anyways the Jays seem so slow to react to anything and I think they may be using him wrong. Also I got to say the constant micro adjustments he makes to his swing and stance bug me somewhat.
