    Not many re-sign once they hit the open market - he could be as good as gone. They probably stopped talking about an extension a while ago. He's gonna get paid for his bat, 3B might not be a bad spot for him - kinda has the body for it too but people shouldn't assume he's willing to change positions (we don't know) - it's a demotion.

    wait check that ...for some reason I had Fisher as a lefty in my head (must be his funky delivery). That makes this demotion even more surprising
