  1. Just hate to see this ...fine young catcher too
  2. that's what I thogut as well so many line drives right to one of our outfielders
  3. side note.....Miguel Amaya is impressive behind the plate
  4. Hortons short arm action and pitch mix is keeping us off balance
  5. it's a totally different atmosphere with the roof open, I guess they were calling for some rain/showers. spoiled.
  6. and Jansen has been money this season
  7. What a goof, wtf is his issue? mouthing off to players, twitter rants and his s***** all about me attitude; when the Yankees really needed him in the pen he refused. What kind of teammate does that especially one that's struggling as a starter. I was a big fan as were many others, no longer. No team is going to touch him
  8. Then homers in his next AB
  9. Just when we thought maybe Ernie's playing time would be reduced. Good luck coach Schneider lol
  10. power bat is going to strike out, .267 BA is pretty good if not great for a 25 year old, first full season. 18 home runs
  11. Carson Kelly hitting clean-up. Has he come a long way
  12. based on a first look .... Bo needed to charge that ball....just like Mookie did a few days ago (similar play I beleve)
  13. cool interview, Skubal Talks Pitch Tipping, Umpires, and Facing MLB Legends
  14. Campero destroyed his leg trying to catch a home run by Muncy, he went up and came down shin first on the edge of the short right field wall. OUCH. Carting him off on a stretcher. Sucks because he was only in the game because Adell was ejected earlier in the game.
  15. The overhead shot is even more telling - that shot has gone kind of viral on social media but as we all know (because we watch a s*** ton of ball) the ump doesn't always get these correct. I had no idea he went based on watching it at regular speed.
  16. Yea. (I had to watch it a few times) It might have worked but Peralta didn't know the rule or maybe he forgot. Machado had the ball at 3B (hidden) which is fine and he tried tagging Duran who was on/around the bag - but Peralta was also on the rubber - so that's a balk.
  17. Pitchers going deep into games today, Abbott 100+ vs Phillies (last I checked in the 8th), Zebby Matthews 99 currently bottom 6 and he's coming out vs Yankees (well not that deep for Zebby but high pitch count, 9 K's)
  18. I think it's too early but give me Scherzer in Game#1 (Scherzer leads all starters in K/9 and the entire pitching staff in BB/9). The history says Atkins and company will rely on the their data to determine who starts who comes in next etc.
  19. The pitcher cannot straddle the rubber or stand on it without the ball, not sure what other rule you are referring to.
