    It's a big problem - league wide. Some form of Robo umps is on the way Will probably similar to video review where teams can challenge a called strike, it's being tested now in the minors

    I hate that view - like did they test it out and ask people? no way anyone prefers that view over the regular cameras

    he leads Jansen in his framing numbers if that's what you referring to and he's also one of the best in the majors - gone down a little this season but that's more to do with not getting consistent playing time so 100% Kirk is the better receiver

    If I had my choice I'd take Kirk because of his superior receiving skills, alot of the game calling (and planning) isn't even in the catchers hands, still done from the dugout. Reading bats is another matter and much more difficult to judge.

    it doesn't matter as much as people think, they will just go out and hire another Martinez. I guess at best it would be a new voice, hitting approaches ...etc go to the heart of the organizations' hitting philosophy. But I agree the struggles are real and something needs to be done

    How many GM's last after going through 3 field managers in 8 seasons? that's a new manager every 2.5 seasons I'd fire Atkins before firing Schneider - which is a totally different conversation

    Yes What young star would not want to go to that team, the moves to lock up his young stars. Strider said at the time of his deal, he wanted the security and he wanted to be in Atlanta - and they got it done.
