    Wow Jansen! How often do you see a guy miss one foul then hit it out the next pitch?

    For real. Football usually always has them down the goal line. Oh well, not going to win many games getting two solo home runs from one player. Can only hope eventually the offense finds a way to all click at once.

    It feels like there's always some sort of statistical anomaly with this team. Nothing was worse than 2021 with their huge run differential and all sorts of other great offensive stats. It's frustrating.

    The first pitch to Chapman was the same pitch Kikuchi didn't get so at least he's being consistent I guess.

    What would have to happen for him to legitimately get a chance? Seems hard to get a real shot with Biggio, Espinal, and Whit all blocking him.

    Oh yeah, that makes sense. Vlady has made a lot of dumb mistakes on the base paths just in the past couple weeks. I got on Fan Graphs and can see what you're talking about now. Thank you.

    Wow. I just looked and Varsho does have a higher WAR than Vlady. I have to be honest, I'm not that great with some stats and don't really understand how that's possible. I've seen people say they don't put much faith in WAR because it has it's issues, but I'm not savvy enough to know one way or the other.

    Heck, a 12-game winning streak would set their all time record!

    That's disappointing. I was really hoping he had unlocked a new level with that April start. I mean Bautista broke out when he was 29 so there's always hope. Of course maybe Bautista had better tools to begin with and just didn't get the opportunity until he came here.

    I don't really understand what happened to Chapman this season. Has he lost his early season approach? Do you think he'd be better off just taking the Jansen approach and accepting he's better as a pull hitter? Whatever was working the first month hasn't been working for a while now.
