  1. So you fully admit you are one of the brain cell deprived. Odd how that worked itself out so quickly. Do you really struggle this hard with being human? I'm not here often enough to care about any posters (nor do I know ANY of them), but so far I've seen, there are some posters like you who have the literary chops of a dancing plough horse with a peg leg. Guess the ignore list starts now.
  2. What the hell did I just read?
  3. The announcer sounds like Cameron on Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
  4. Ryu was pitching with a torn UCL for a part of that time. Probably best that we reserve judgement for now.
  5. Sounds good. We could use Goldy to push Vladdy to the bench as the primary RH pinch hitter. Maybe some platoon AB's at DH too. The Jays obviously have no need to keep high end pitching prospects like Tiedemann. Dafuq did I just read?
  6. So your solution is to do nothing but hoard very fringy prospects that most likely never make it even when your closer goes down in the middle of a playoff run? They had to either be added to the 40 man this winter, or be eligible for the Rule 5 this winter, where they could be lost for nothing - especially when there are more deserving players needing protection. That's even more of a bold move. It's called downright stupid asset management.
  7. That is, if you believe the current versions of Vladdy, Bo, Kirk, Varsho, and Springer have peaked, or are declining. How did they acquire those players? One UFA (KK), and for the rest they gave up: Gunnar Hoglund (24 years old and rocking a 6.79 ERA in A ball) Kevin Smith Kirby Snead Zach Logue Samad Taylor Max Castillo Adam Kloffenstein Sem Robberse Which of these prospects are you losing sleep over right now? For 2B, they have Espinal/Biggio plus internal options like Davis Schneider and Otto Lopez For 3B they have Barger and Orelvis knocking at the door. Varsho slides over from LF to CF, and the Jays may need to fill that LF role externally, but I am sure they could use Biggio or Schneider in a pinch. But at the very least, they still have prospect/young player capital to go out and get guys.....they got those guys while giving up next to nothing.
  8. RIP shift ban.
  9. Kiermaier's seen many top pitching prospects from his TB days. Good sign.
  10. Seems all out of whack. Feels like this is some sort of bizarre attempt at balancing out many of the 'prospect fatigue' rankings Orelvis has been getting recently. I can see arguments for him in the back half of the top 100, but with power as his one lone standout tool, it seems way too ambitious.
  11. Looks like the Jays cheque cleared finally. Check out who is at 5!! Plus at 13, 26. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/zips-2023-top-100-prospects/
  12. Thank you! Looking forward to Jays talk, and the upcoming season.
  13. A majority of his bunts came on drag bunts past the pitcher to the first base side into the shift. If anything, there should be more room and more impetus to do this.
  14. I see it actually happening more. A majority of his bunts for hits come from bunting to the right side past the pitcher. With the banning of the shift, this becomes even more of a weapon. Their options are either 2B playing deep to get to more balls, or playing in tighter to limit the bunt. This is making it much easier for Varsho to pull a ball past the 2B due to his pull happy profile and the lack of reaction time available. Going to be interesting. I could see KK also going this way with his sprint speed.
  15. First post. New here, but against RHP I would like to see this sort of lineup if Belt is anywhere near his 2020/2021 form. Springer Vlad Belt Bo Kirk Varsho Jansen Biggio (Espinal/Merrifield) KK This way it pretty much forces the opposition to reconsider using a lefty out of the pen as the lefty will only face at most one LHB and will have to face at least 2 RHB. Biggio and KK will be PH for if a lefty is brought in (Espinal and Merrifield, respectively). Just my thoughts on lineup construction, as it stands today.
