    Yes I think we need to move past the hope the core is going to return to form. Most other successful teams don’t operate with a lot of hoping things work out.

    But he’s so proven as a 4th batter in the lineup as being a run producing machine why are you second guessing Schnieder? Oh I know because it’s DUMB. Blue jays motto from ownership down should be: “If things don’t work keep trying them.”

    Offense still stinks and they did nothing to fix it. Sitting on your hands every offseason telling fans that you believe they will figure it out is a joke. What is it the third season in a row of having a terrible offense. How do they still have jobs???

    How many times as a blue jays manager are we left scratching our heads with some of Schneider’s choices and obvious answers are right in front of him?

    I am just wondering when does the lack of power become a concern? This is about year 4 of this. I guess they need more time. I am sure, I can feel it they are right there. They are going to get homeruns. They have proven it in the pa…..nvm(Sarcasm).

    It’s crazy an organization that’s been so subpar hangs onto a duo that for the most part has only been successful at making rogers centre better. It just tell ownership doesn’t have a clue how to run a winning club. Those two should have been long gone yet year after year they are here. It’s so bizarre and quite frankly stupid. Let’s hold onto something that’s unsuccessful. Great business model.

    Meanwhile all the other teams don’t have an issue at all. It’s the players. We just don’t have enough clutch players.

    Offense is still terrible. If you can’t hit home runs you are in big trouble. 3 home runs total from Bichette, Vladdy, and Santander is just awful. This isn’t a new thing either. Vladdy will come around but I am not sure about the rest of the lineup. They are an average team at best. How many hitting coaches does this team need to go through before it realizes it ain’t the coaches? Schnieder is not an elite manager. Putting Barnes in and the DFAing him tells a lot. He just tends to make the wrong choices in wrong situations. Great managers have a feel for things. He doesn’t.

    It’s great they won 3/4. I just think this team has a country club type atmosphere and are too immature. They just play like it’s great if they win but it’s not a big deal if they don’t. When have you ever heard any of the players say all that matters is winning. It seems more often than not they say there is still time to turn things around. They are in a good spot it’s just that attitude I can’t stand.

    It’s so hot and come though. It really means nothing when you have games where they score 28 runs and then struggle at other times to get a couple of runs. That’s why they are only 11 games above .500 and can’t climb higher. I hate it when people bring up that stat. The offense for the most part has been so disjointed.

    Happens everytime a team let’s a team off the hook. Would everyone agree Vladdy’s season has been pretty poor this year? It just doesn’t have that same feel when he comes to the plate and he looks disinterested or that it’s no big deal that he misses opportunities. I still hope they come in with a manager that has a winning. Attitude and no nonsense approach. This goofy playtime attitude just looks bad.

    I agree. Hitting has gotten worse. Patience doesn’t seemed to be preached or at least they are afraid to hurt the players feelings if suggested.

    Is it a good HITTING lineup? I think we know by now what this team is hitting wise. They lack patience. They are what they are. It’s not a great offense. It’s been all over the place all year. It is what it is. Hot or cold.

    Still a few innings to play to win it but man if Vlad and Bo don’t start being patient and getting a good pitches to hit this team is going nowhere. They are up there hacking at everything. Hurting their team. Pitchers know it. It’s a bad approach.

    Exactly, they still don’t get patience at the plate and they don’t have anyone preaching patience. Just terrible swings.

    Lourdes is just another who has been pretty underwhelming this year. 5 home runs with his build. I thought he would hit for a lot more power.

    Well if no one hold them accountable, why would they change their approach at the plate. Even the manager says things like they will get going but the offense has been pretty underwhelming. I think it is what it is. Up and down season. Hopefully they can pull this out. It’s just the at bats. Everyone swings at horrible pitches out of the zone.

    This team is so frustrating to watch at times. The swings they take at times are so bad. That ball up on Vladimir. I don’t get the approach? Why do you have to swing at everything? You make it so easy for the opposition. I also have to say I can’t stand their attitude like they have achieved something. They have done nothing. Not any of them. You should be all over trying to sweep them not being ok with 3/4. A championship team cares about winning every game. This team doesn’t. They always feel they have time. Such a bad attitude.

    Ya because you can’t have singles, doubles, or triples. You can’t have a conversation so you resort to name calling. Very intelligent and mature response.

    It’s better than pretending they are really good. Be honest with yourself. They are good at times or really bad. Super inconsistent. They rely way to much on the homerun but ya it’s bad to be honest with where they are at.
