  1. Guys relax it’s a long season. There is nothing wrong with the core, no need to split it up right now. This team is only a few tweaks from turning it around. I agree 100% getting rid of Montoyo sooner then later would be best for this team. Anyone who has ever played on championship teams knows it starts with a great manager or coach. Raptors are the prime example of Nick Nurse being able to get the most out of what he has to work with. Players believe and will do what it takes for him. I don’t know what this front office is afraid of to make a change. I would be fine with giving Schneider given a chance to run with it. Montoyo is not a gamer, he’s a very good rebuild/developing manager, but not a championship manager. Smartest thing the front office could do right now is make change a with Montoyo and go from there. Yes bullpen help as well, but make the easy change first that everyone else can see.
  2. I’d be open to it if you can get him for the right $, he has the attitude I want to pitch in this division, only thing that worries me is that he becomes a negative distraction.
  3. The big thing is do you try to resign Semien and Ray? Honestly I think if the term is right you do it, but if they want 6–8 year deals then you let them walk. I do believe they need to get a deal done with Ray, you can’t have enough top end pitching as we seen this season. They need to bolster that bullpen, just not enough depth.
  4. Long time reader first time poster, pretty impressed with what the Jays did this season, big step forward in their development. If the Jays want to take that next step forward, they need to fire Montoyo. Great developing manager, not a contending manager. I wouldn’t be opposed to giving Schneider a shot at managing this team. It’s pretty bad when your manager is out there joking and smiling while your pitcher is getting thrown out, and your pitching coach has to stand up for your players. There are lots of factors why Charlie isn’t the right guy to lead this team going forward.
