  1. I agree with all your moves but would replace Kim with trading for Lindor lol. It would probably only cost about 10 million more per season than signing Kim since we would also be sending out some sort of contracts too in a trade. Obviously that would hurt our prospect capital but its worth it. All that would cost around 70 million which is asking for a lot in one offseason so its probably wishful thinking. Side note... Feel like we've all been regurgitating the same stuff for over a month now. People already complain about baseball being slow on the field, why do they need to have offseasons like that too lol.
  2. I think we'll be counting on 2 of them as our 4 and 5 starters. The odd man out goes to the bullpen to be our long guy/6th starter
  3. Oh I totally agree but we're already paying Roark 12 million so we're stuck there. I'd bank on Stripling more but we have to hope one of them has a bounce back year. I believe both will be in a contract year so there's always a chance.
  4. I see us only going after one more legitimate starter unless we have plans to make a trade. Feel the rotation is set otherwise. 1/2 Ryu and ? 3 Pearson 4 Ray 5 Stripling/Roark (whoever has the better spring takes the spot)
  5. Jeff Passan on Tim and Sid said that he would pick the Jays landing Springer. There is enough mutual interest on both sides to make it happen. Just need to avoid a team coming in and offering enough to change things.
  6. He seems like the best fit at CF if Springer doesn't come here. His defense would be huge, basically making him a slightly better Pillar for us across the board. Although signing him pushes out one of our current OFs. Feel like this move only happens with a follow up trade (Lindor?).
  7. Surprised to hear they're in on Bauer. From all reports, they were struggling enough to keep DJL and weren't going after any expensive pitching talent.
  8. 0 chance that deal happens lol.
  9. Ya it feels like the Jays are best bidder in some cases but the players don't want to bite without that offer being an overpay. They're just waiting it out in hopes of getting a better offer from their preferred destination. Some might just take a 1 year deal instead of a long term deal from the Jays in hopes there's more money next year Could just be my Jays paranoia speaking here lol.
  10. Just make a decision already lol
  11. What did they do? I caught the first 2 episodes and it wasn't bad at all for nostalgic purposes lol.
  12. It might be Covid related or it might be free agents really not wanting to come to Toronto at a non-inflated price. Like please, anyone else just bid close to what the Jays are offering lol.
  13. I think it's extremely unlikely we would say no to Lindor just because DJL said yes. I think the type of package changes based on who we sign in free agency. Its at a point where I feel its a forgone conclusion Lindor's coming here lol.
  14. Do we think its possible for us to get DJL and Lindor this off-season if we strike out on Springer? It would probably mean Biggio to the OF and another season of Grichuk at CF (YUCK).
  15. Ya its very possible. I think him moving around so many positions could also hurt him in the long run since he doesn't get a chance to master one. Problem is that we need a CF badly and we already have 3 corner OFers on the roster. Grichuk is going nowhere because of his contract and I can't see us trading both Gurriel and Teo. Teo is too young to become a DH at this stage either.
  16. You have to believe its because they have a connection with Lindor from their time in Cleveland. Also being able to rule out the Coors field factor that seems to influence people's thinking of Colorado players whether its justified or not l.
  17. Ya I agree. While biggjo can play a lot of positions, it doesn't mean he can play them well. It's a reason why I struggle coming up with a long term position for him if we acquire Lindor unless Bo can play 3B.
  18. But the difference between us and Tampa should be that we're able to retain our top talent and don't need to keep recycling. Using that motto has won a lot of games for Oakland and Tampa but failed more time than not on the big stage.
  19. What happened?
  20. Don't think any of us doubt how he looks. Glad to see that power is still there!!
  21. I'm surprised to hear that after watching them the past few seasons but hope the Indians think the same way. With Kirk waiting in the wings, id prioritize Gurriel much higher than Jansen. I think it will all come down to who we end up signing. Realmuto means Jansens gone and Springer would mean Gurriels probably gone.
  22. Lindor, Springer and Bauer confirmed lol
  23. Does Jansen have anywhere near the value of Gurriel? I would assume Gurriel would be the A level asset while Jansen would be the C level asset that would require another B level asset to be included with him.
