    It was still a great deal in hindsight... just a remark that none of the guys are looking too promising at the moment. Hope they turn it around for our sake.

    This applies to Wagner too. Both give you mediocre defense with a noodle bat. Positive is that both have been working the pitchers well but just not coming through with results, which is what matters in the big leagues for a team in "win now" mode.

    Pitching/defense always has gotta be near perfect... offense gives this team very little margin.

    Straw has been extremely useful every time he's played. Impressed with him given what we were expecting.
