  1. Everyone didn't want Lovelady and Barnes on the roster to break camp so just took them a couple of blown games before coming to that realization sadly. Luckily they weren't kept around a lot longer to blow more games. Regardless, this is more about the pathetic offense than the backend of our bullpen.
  2. Pinch hitting a guy with a .412 OBP and the much better defender for a guy with 0 hits on the season... quite the choice...
  3. That's exactly what I thought. For a team so obsessed with lefty/righty match-ups, weird they didn't go after Randy instead.
  4. They said first time in franchise history since 1979. Poor guy still got pulled in the 9th for defensive purposes loll.
  5. Will definitely need to add 1 more hitter by the deadline in addition to having our guys step it up. Hopefully Shatkins can come through with something we don't expect!
  6. I loved the Hoffman signing when it happened and love it even more now. That move might single handedly turn me into a Shatkins believer lol.
  7. We're gonna find out real quick about Hoffman's health with the amount of appearances we're already relying on from him lol.
  8. That's a huge play by Kirk and great tag from Bo... potential game saver!
  9. Let's add some runs here before Schneider uses Barnes in the 8th lol
  10. Got lucky as hell using one of your worst bullpen arms in a 2 run game in the 7th. This stupid "because he's a lefty" mindset needs to die when the skill level isnt established yet.
  11. Wait, why the f*** is Fluharty in this game? Schneider's at it again with his stupidity.
  12. Well duhhh... he's a number 7 hitter on a really good team lol. Although I liked what I saw from him in the Spring so maybe he does better this year?
  13. It's not an experient when we very little choice here... this is the best we got lol.
  14. Gimenez 4th and Barger 6th on a team with World series aspirations... Thank God for the elite pitching and defense at least lol
  15. Just need that 1 big hit man... so many wasted opportunities but what else is new. Can we see if J.D. Martinez is still looking for a squad? Lol
  16. Also explains why they slotted Straw there when he's playing too.
  17. It's analysis like this that keeps me coming back even with the frequent insults thrown my way lol.
  18. Ya that's view won't be for 100% of the fanbase. I said many times in 2023 that it was "the least entertaining winning team I've ever seen in my lifetime." It's a compliment because winning isnt easy (as we all know) and that will always matter more than losing but boy was it a hard watch lol.
  19. Most of my post was about Term mentioning "people would still complain if this team won 90 games." In 2023, a vast majority found the team to be a horrible entertaining product even though we won 87 games or so. The playoffs ended in the same manner many expected, which just capped off the frustrating season as it was obvious we were trending in the wrong direction. I wasn't really trying to disect the why but just stating what many considered to be an objective view.
  20. Can we not get Schneider to wear the George Constanza shoes to make the high fastball more into his zone? Lol
  21. 2023 was an example of this team winning but it being a bad product to watch entertainment wise. A winning product should always be top priority but that also needs to be balanced with forecasting how would your playoff lineup compete with the other teams best in the playoffs. Sticking with 2023, we all knew that team would struggle to score any runs and that's exactly what happened and why we lost.
  22. Apparently he had some minor neck strain and the Jays planned to pull him after 90 pitches before the start. Bassitt said he felt great and wanted to stay in but it was probably the right decision longterm to pull him.
  23. Are we about to see Hoffman blow another kiss to the opponents dugout today? Lol
