    I'm starting to realize that it's going to be one of those boring years. The worst part is that they're clearly not going to be competitive AND it's becoming clear that we won't be seeing any of the hot prospects. There's really not much of a reason to watch as most of these guys are at the end of their contracts or simply place-holders. What kind of narratives are keeping you guys excited for the rest of the season?

    To be fair to the guy who lost the bet, Reddit was ablaze with people ranting and raving about Hernandez too. I don't recall seeing much of it here though.

    Well that was certainly a wimper of an effort. 2 runs against Blaine Hardy and the Tiger pen. That was some ugly ball.

    This teams gone south in a hurry, eh boys? What sucks is that they're just old, no interesting prospects in the show or anything... Gonna be hard to enjoy watching this team play.

    What do you guys make of some of these lineups that Gibby is putting out there? Solarte 2nd, Morales 4th, Pillar 5th? I know it's easy to bag on a manager when a team's struggling, but it's hard to see the logic in that lineup management.

    I really thought that the Jays had a good chance at making some noise against Hardy, but this has been pitiful... Tough to watch these guys right now. At least Gibby gave Garcia the hook before things could get any worse. It sucks that Jaime has been such a gas-can.

    I wouldn't be surprised if his spirits are being broken a little bit by being held down. He's gotta be thinking to himself "what more do I gotta do?"

    I think Vlad will be coming up in June. When you see Sportsnet showing Vlad highlights from AA, you can tell the Rogers media machine is trying to get the fans pumped up. I don't think they'd do it if he wasn't gonna be called up until next year or even September.

    Wow, surprised AA cut bait so quickly given their history together. JoeyBats only had 40 AB's. He did look pretty ugly out there at times though. I guess it was evident that he wasn't going to cut it. Sorta sad to see him go out with such a wimper. His regression was fast and unrelenting.

    There's more to being a manager than roster management. An important role is how one manages the clubhouse and how he keeps team morale up. I don't think that's ever been Gibbys strong suite... Of course winning solves everything though. I think once the team undergoes a more extreme rebuild that Shapiro and Atkins are going to want their own guy at the helm. I'd be surprised if Gibby was the manager 2 years down the road or even next season for that matter.

    3 games under 500 already. Less than a month ago after the hot start, the media outlets were talking about how the Jays were an underrated good team. I can't believe how fast things have gone south. It's gonna be a long year, especially when factoring in all the games against Boston and New York. Even Tampa Bay looks a lot better than what was expected. I was initially hoping that we might be able to compete for a wildcard position, but if I'm being honest with myself, I don't think the team has the talent . I think it's time to blow it up and get on with the rebuild.

    Well, this season seems to be going sour in a hurry. Oakland has a good offense so I knew they'd score some runs, but I'm really disappointed about the Jays approach at the plate. This offense isn't gonna cut it. I think it's time to call up Vlad. There's a possibility he could ignite things and get the bats going. There's no point in having him destroy minor league pitching. Kids ready for the next step.

    Friday night game in May and there's only 4 pages for the game day thread?! I remember lurking last year and there was always like 25-40 pages. Is everyone bitter with the team or something? We're only 1 game under 500 after all!

    Buck is great. I like Tabby, but id say he's the weaker link of the 2.
