    It's definitely different now adays. I remember Jose Canseco got arrested over a domestic dispute, and it was dealt with with very little fanfare. We'll have to wait and see what the details are, but whatever the case, I fully expect Rogers to overreact. I wouldn't bet on him pitching with the Jays again.

    Is it simply just a case of pitching into some bad luck or is there more to it? Looking at his advanced stats, it doesn't seem like there's any difference to pinpoint. What do you guys think? We definitely need him performing if there's any shot at remaining competitive this season.

    Man, the sound of the crack of the bat from Vladdy is a thing of beauty. I'd understand the argument of keeping Vladdy down a little more if Josh was healthy, but his arm still looks pretty weak to me. I don't think he'll be able to sustain a full season at 3rd. Morales is a shell of his former self so I think it's best to cut bait with him, so there's definitely a very sensible scenario for Vladdy to fit in nicely with the team this year. If I was running the Jays, I'd call Vladdy up to AAA, see how he does during the rest of May and the first few weeks of June and if he's performing at this clip, then he has to be promoted. It wouldn't be fair to the kid to keep him down. Especially if the Jays are still sniffing around a wildcard spot.

    Manny Machado is really going all out in his contract year. 181wRC+ and has already put up 1.9 WAR and the Orioles still suck ass lol

    The team right now is 18-16. It's not unfathomable to imagine things going better and seeing the team make a run at one of those wildcard spots. Vladdy is RAKING in AA. When you see numbers that good, the only reason against a promotion is to try and take advantage of the service time clause. A situation were Vladdy and JD rotate at 3rd could be perfectly feasible, get Josh some time at 1B, Smoak can DH, when Donaldsons at 3B, DH Vladdy ETC. I don't wanna be reactionary, but this kid looks like the real deal. If he can help the club at the big league level, why prolong the inevitable? I think he's ready for the big league challenge.
