  1. My source was https://www.espn.com/blog/sweetspot/post/_/id/66742/are-too-many-players-being-given-a-therapeutic-use-exemption "Davis had requested and been granted a therapeutic use exemption in 2013 and received one again in 2015, but didn't request one in 2014. Coincidentally or not, he was great in 2013 and 2015 and terrible in 2014."
  2. I've recall hearing the exact opposite. Amphetamines are way better than steroids or HGH for performance enhancement due to how they improve reaction time and fast twitch muscle response. Take a look at Chris Davis' stat lines. 2014 is a massive outlier of shite. It just so happens that he didn't get his therapeutic use exemption that year.
  3. The thing is no one will ever know for sure. Nearly ten percent of players today have therapeutic use exemptions for amphetamines, which actually are way more performance enhancing than steroids (2014 Chris Davis didn't get his normal exemption). Since the impacts of it are so much higher for hitters than pitchers I would fathom a guess that if you got that number broken down by hitters it would be closer to 15%. So there's an approximately 1/6 chance Judge is on a PED, albeit in a legal manner.
  4. I would suspect it is a combination of things. Some likely still aren't coming out due to COVID worries. Some are due to inflation and having less disposable income than they did before. Also, travel can still be hit or miss so you might have less people coming in from the rest of the country than you would have before.
  5. He doesn't have any playoff experience.
  6. The jays aren't bringing in someone with his domestic abuse record, I can assure you of that.
  7. It wouldn't surprise me if they are cheating somehow given their history. They did go through a period where any pitcher coming in immediately added tons of spin.
  8. Maybe Berrios' start last night will have them rethinking that. The cynic in me has me wondering if money from three games at home hasn't factored in too though.
  9. Haha, I honestly thought that was for tonight's game. And joining late, I need something to catch up. I'll keep an eye out for tonights
  10. Or he is just an idiot, which seems to be more the case these past few years with him.
  11. Looking at some stats today, I think this is what has won me over to the Judge for MVP side of the argument. For Aaron Judge: Split G GS PA AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB CS BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS TB GDP HBP SH SF IBB ROE BAbip tOPS+ sOPS+ in Wins 86 86 397 334 96 117 17 0 48 102 10 1 53 88 .350 .438 .832 1.270 278 8 3 0 5 11 1 .340 123 201 in Losses 57 53 239 195 27 50 8 0 12 26 6 2 40 71 .256 .388 .482 .870 94 6 2 0 0 6 0 .339 61 195

  13. It really depends for me on whether he is counted as one of the pitchers or not. If they get to add an extra bat this sentiment is probably correct but if they got to add an extra pitcher I think that is a bigger deal.
  14. Age at the levels has a big say here too. Most of Sano’s time with a better average at AA came when he was 2 years older than Orelvis is now.
  15. I feel like if you have the chance to add the best left handed bat in baseball to this lineup for 2.5 years you move mountains to make that happen. You can figure out the finances and other parts further down the road. That being said, I don’t think it happens.
  16. I am looking to buy some team sets for past years. Has anyone ordered them before and had any luck with particular sites? Thanks in advance.
  17. They are making him look like Bob Gibson.
  18. Is he taking Vlad with him?
  19. If I remember correctly, Donaldson was also not getting along well with the A's front office when he got traded to the Jays. I think most will look at that history and assume the perceived issues are on the Donaldson side. I also would guess that he just really doesn't like being in a losing situation which led to a lot of frustration from him in both organizations.
  20. This is interesting. I was in Portland last weekend to see the Fisher Cats play the Sea Dogs (Red sox AA team) and there was a guy there scouting wearing a Yankees hat. I couldn't really figure it out as I was thinking they wouldn't be looking at our minor league players in trades and they definitely wouldn't be trading with the Bosox. This might explain it though. Edit: The thought also occured to me it could just be a prospect writer wearing a yank's hat. But why scout a game with no Bo and no Vlad as a writer.
  21. He might be pushing him due to the presence of Stanton, judge and Hicks and the rumoured pursuit of Harper to come.
  22. These kinds of thing can only strengthen a company like this ( http://avrij.com/index.html ) that offers services to monitor athlete's social interactions.
  23. oh Todd. Those community folks were right about you.
  24. More often is great IMO
