  1. I think Toronto is a better team than NYY and similar to Boston. +/- means little. use the Boston series as the example. Split 2-2 and plus a billion runs. So what. This version of the Blue Jays have given away more games that they should have won than any team in recent memory. I fully expect this gifting of games will continue and this will bite them in the a$$ in the end. Need a new culture, need a new manager.
  2. So randemly putting Semien who is unquestionably your second best hitter this year in any measurable behind McGuire, Gurriel, Biggio and Grich? And Bo with the 5th best OBP leading off? Semien Bo Vladdy Hernandez Springer Biggio Grich Gurriel McGuire And when Springer gets a couple weeks under his belt and if he is outpreforming those above him move him up. The only must is Vlad does not hit below 3 in the order. EVER.
  3. Interesting read, Charlie is 100% perfect #2 man in command. just like he was in TB. Very likable and positive. As a head man I do not think he gets the respect from umpires or players. i think the manager needs to be a leader, charasmatic, command a room, put the fear a little into players and umpires if things aren't done correctly. Charlie is not this. I would like the flip flop of Charlie and Schnieder but obviously this would never happen. We will have a new manager next season though.
  4. I would read the shirt as I DON'T CARE WHAT THE REPORTERS ARE WRITTING. I AM FINE. WE ARE FINE. Not as a slight to his BP
  5. Joel Payamps can pitch as an early guy out of my bullpen any day. He is a MLB calibre RP. Castro is more of a AAAA guy. Thomas Hatch should be on the MLB roster. Stretching him out when the team is specifically losing games in a role he could succeed is horrible asset management. When you are longing for AJ Cole to return you know you are very thin in the pen.
  6. Buy Sell Hold The jays won't do anything until other teams start selling BUT... I vote sell. It would allow them to move on from bongo's who is the perfect second in command guy. And horrible front man. Team is tied with Seattle and The Angels. HORRIBLE. In a world where Randall has trade value I jump the moment that I can.
  7. Hernandez was away for the birth of his kid.
  8. I do this to the tv everytime Bo tries to make a play in the field
  9. Last night was a clasic GET YOURSELF TOSSED game for Charlie and he didn't. Need to fire up some old Billy Martin/Earl Weaver/ Terry Collins vids to teach Charlie how to treat an ump
  10. Are the teams playing the Jays considering them a bad team? Asking for a friend.
  11. CJ Buckner with his own version of reality Vladdy safe Passed ball Oh well...he sux
  12. Davis gone when Springer is back Espinal gone for Biggio Tellez safe as a power LH bench bat
  13. Chatwood did not deserve the chance to finish the game. You would lie to think our LHP could get one out. I am not a Charlie fan but today is on Chatwood and not Charlie.
  14. Tellytubby Tellez will mash once the team goes to Buffalo. That park is his b!tch
  15. I will go with Frank Thomas had some assistance building his body
  16. Lets see if this turns into a Deshaun Watson type where tons of ladies come forward. Dude owned the town when he played here. #1 celebrity/party dude And what pi$$es me off is the Chapman's, Domingo German continuing their careers with NYY. Herrera back for Philly. But Alomar is fired, rip down the banner and lock him out. My opinion is wait until the findings are public and let the Jays fans decide if this Hall of Fame player should have his banner pulled or not.
  17. The new guy Christian Colon looks skinnier than bartolo...that is good.
  18. Things are ugly for BB on D. He should have a few more errors tied to him. On the last out Saturday he threw up the line forcing Vlad to swip tag on a routine play. GET HIM OFF SS sooner rather than later. If you are serious about winning this year the team needs a better left side. Management knows it but does not have the balls to do anyhing about it. Coinincidence Bo's 2 sits this year are with groundball machine Ryu on the mound?
  19. Kidding or serious? Jays have thrown out 1 base runner this year. pretty sure that isn't good. Watching Perez in the KC series gave me some catcher envy.
  20. Trade idea from The Athletic: Trades I’d like to see happen now Blue Jays deal Randal Grichuk and Alejandro Kirk to Marlins for Pablo López The Marlins rotation is good enough to not only reach the postseason, but also run the table in October. However, Miami’s problem is it doesn’t have enough offense or bullpen depth to take advantage of that strong rotation. I think it’s time for first-year general manager Kim Ng to start wheeling and dealing. The Marlins match up well with the Blue Jays in a potential deal. The Blue Jays have a big need for another starting pitcher, and Pablo López would be a perfect fit. López, 25, went 6-4 last year with a 3.61 ERA and a 3.09 FIP. He really knows how to pitch. He has averaged 9.3 strikeouts per nine innings and 2.8 walks per nine since the start of 2020. López’s fastball is mostly 92 to 94 mph, and he throws an above-average change-up, his best secondary pitch. His four-pitch mix also includes a curveball and a cutter. López would fit nicely in the Blue Jays rotation with Hyun Jin Ryu, Robbie Ray, Steven Matz and, eventually, rookie Nate Pearson. López’s ability to change speeds and eye levels with precision would provide a different look for the rotation. In return, the Marlins would receive Randal Grichuk, who has hit 22 or more home runs four times in his career, including 31 in 2019. Last year, he hit 12 homers in 216 at-bats in the shortened season. Grichuk, 29, is the Blue Jays’ fourth outfielder, and he’s expected to lose playing time once George Springer returns from the injured list. A strong outfield that includes right fielder Teoscar Hernández, who won a Silver Slugger Award last year, and left fielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. leaves Grichuk with a role as a part-time outfielder and designated hitter. The Marlins would also net their long-term solution at catcher in Alejandro Kirk, who is one of the best-hitting catching prospects in baseball and projects as a .300 hitter and a .400 OBP player. Grichuk and Kirk would immediately improve the Marlins offense. And Miami would still be blessed with starting pitching depth, with Sandy Alcantara, Sixto Sánchez, Trevor Rogers and Nick Niedert leading the way and several top prospects behind them, including Elieser Hernandez and Jorge Guzman (both currently on the IL) and young arms at the alternate site such as Edward Cabrera, Braxton Garrett and Max Meyer. Anything that has me selling high on RG and I am in.
  21. Anyone ready for the robot strike zone yet? It was bad enough in the old days when we assumed the umps were s*****. Now when we get to see it in slow motion and with the pitch tracker it is an avoidable embarrassment.
  22. Keep substituting for each other on the IR glass Merryweather and glass Pearson. One power wipe out arm always available.
  23. Roark sitting @91 MPH and not locating well means his value as a MLB player is gone. Practice throwing a knuckleball, sidearm or lefthanded because you have too many miles on that arm otherwise to be useful.
