  1. Why are we fnnn leaving these guys open for 3 point attempt rebounds.. Wide open...Our African combo can't hit a three to save their lives...
  2. Missed 8 consecutive 3's. 2-12... ESPN is good for something.
  3. Man, they are making every three and we are making none.. We keep giving the ball to guys who should not be shooting threes. They better tighten up before this gets out of hand.
  4. Who is the *chick?? I guess I have not watched an ESPN broadcast of an NBA game recently.. Edit to add annoying..
  5. Stop giving the ball to Ibaka to take shots if he is not on tonight. He could barley make a free throw and can't make a 3 to save his life. Use him for D and set up guys who can make a 3.
  6. Not going to lie, I am nervous.. I have a feeling this might be like game 2 or 3.. I hope to heck not... Do NOT want to even think about game 7. I think Jimmy Butler will be very strong tonight..
  7. First/top line is Johnathan Davis in AA, who do you think the second line is (their AA stats and was much younger)? G PA AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB CS BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS TB GDP HBP SH SF IBB 78 358 305 68 92 22 3 5 33 19 3 35 53 .302 .388 .443 .830 135 3 11 2 5 0 70 310 260 52 77 10 4 4 35 38 8 35 46 .296 .384 .417 .796 107 0 6 3 6 2
  8. I agree a 3 man bench and 8 pitchers is loco... So a position player is definitely high probability.. However, watch them all surprise us and call up Issacs or something.. He actually deserves it while we are on the subject...
  9. I have no one on ignore either.. I am all about spirited debate. Just skip over a post if not interested... I have always wondered what happens if I start a GDT and I am on a bunch of guy's ignore list... Will they still see the GDT?
  10. If Bob was man enough to not have me on ignore.... He would see I posted that over an hour prior.. Of course England is far away and just like fashion trends, music, and the latest in dental practices, I guess Twitter takes a little longer to arrive there..
  11. Stop.. You are both exciting me and making me hungry at the same time..
  12. Poor Thomas Pannone.. Victim of numbers game I guess.. I am hoping the demotion is just to stretch him out as a starter... Hoping Maybe Biggio or an OF will come up
  13. For the few nice plays he has made there are about 4-5 he should have made...
  14. Listening to Baseball Central.. I didn't realize Montoyo got really pissed after last nights lost and started dropping f-bombs
  15. The difference between this proposal and the AA trade for JD is that from the Jays perspective, it didn't weaken the ML team and only made it stronger.. Lawrie for Donaldson was plus, plus... No way I trade two young and controllable ML starters with upside for one position player.. Especially when we are the opposite of a surplus. Plus not for nothing, I don't think Groshans is same level as Baretto.. I think he is much more highly thought of as a two way player.
  16. That is the thing... Very corporate, uses all the words that are trendy when presenting to a board or executive committee. I am sure his power points are also top notch. The process, collaborative, collaboration, creating and environment for success etc, etc.. I will admit I have stolen some of his sales pitch for my projects that I have presented. His spiel is a very good one in today's corporate world. The thing is though, we also use an expression.. At the end of the day... Meaning.. At the end of the day, his mission is to have on field success at a high level for the major league team one or more WS wins. He did not accomplish that in Cleveland and so far, the results of his strategy have not come to fruition in Toronto. However, as mentioned, he appears to have a good strategy and is a good sales person for the strategy. He needs to start showing tangible results... by end of 2020 season IMO. BA and MLB.com prospect rating etc don't mean crap if you are not showing results after 5 years at the ML level.
  17. I would too, honestly.. The US company I work for owns a big Canadian company that used to up until a year or two ago have a box at Rogers center. I could probably get it now of we still had it... If I ever have an opportunity I would invite all also... Everyone as long as space permited, King, Hurl, BTS, Spanky, Jim, even Bob4skin. all my nemesis. I would buy you all some beers also...
  18. Is this question directed at me, my online persona of Carlos Danger or to Ryan Goins?
  19. Don't like it, but better than a dirty Sanchez...
  20. Where do I sign up..?
  21. How much hookers and blow can I buy with board cred? Being in the guys who live in their mom's basement, buy tissues by bulk at Costco so they can wack off to the updated fWAR of their fantasy players "clique".. Or a multi-millionaire prior to 30, taking vacations on private jets with Tulo and the posse plus lot's of hookers and blow.. mmmmm?
  22. Dude, seriously, this is the issue I have with stats... This is not just directed at you, but you are the epitome of this... Did you ever actually watch a Jays game from 2013-2015 or did you just read about them on Fangraphs? Apart from the ball that fell in between him and JB in the ALCS, he was an excellent defensive player at 2b and SS. He really helped the pitching staff and in turn the team. He was not supposed to be starter, he was a utility back up. When the starter was hurt, which happened to be a lot, he came in and did a serviceable job as a back up utility IF and provided plus D.. He could lay down a bunt or make contact if required. He was what he was.. No one is saying they think he was Roberto Alomar.. When he started deteriorating, we cut bait, as we should have... But he was good at what he was there to do...
  23. I forgot to mention the millions in my bank account.
  24. Because his job was to hit HRs on a team that had like a +300 plus/minus runs... He was a defensive stalwart that helped the pitching staff, D. That was his niche, he was a utility IF and for a few years he did that very well.
