  1. Does anyone else think it's unlikely they use kluber game 4? They are only getting one more game out of him this series unless they want to short rest him twice in a row which isn't likely
  2. Just trying to be positive. But if we win Monday the series doesn't look so bad with Sanchez going at home for game 4 against clevinger most likely
  3. I'm guessing they aren't going to be making that offer anymore. No home runs for 2 games
  4. Not time to give up yet. If Stroman can beat Bauer there is a pretty good chance Sanchez can hold them off enough to get another win. This team did win 6 in a row. But will be very difficult to do this now. If they are going to play like this would rather they get it over with and get knocked out in this series rather than against Cubs or Dodgers. Win 2 lose 1 win 2, pretty simple
  5. For the die hard fans the best part of baseball is if you lose they play every day so there is the hope that they win the next day and all is forgotten. Memory needs to be short as a baseball fan, even teams that win World Series like the royals, everyone has forgotten about them already and nobody respects them.
  6. That's what I was thinking but would of been smarter to get at least one win in the bag first. But seriously don't lose confidence, we had just won 6 in a row against contenders. We don't have any weak spots in our rotation while they have 1 or 2 question marks. Win tomorrow and it's a 5 game series again
  7. Everyone please remember. When we are losing and you get that hopeless frustrated feeling like "wtf I'm pretty sure I would of got a single there, why is he swinging for the fences" that there is absolutely nothing we can do. We will watch and what happens happens regardless of whether you watch and care or watch and don't care. Try detach yourself from it. Don't feel depressed if we lose but take every win here as if we're playing with house money. We're lucky to be watching games that matter Think of the poor oriole and Red Sox fans who expected to be in our shoes.
  8. Bottom line is if we can't string 4 wins out of 6 against only 1 high quality pitcher we wouldn't do well against who ever makes it to World Series.
  9. So realistically we should be able to go 2-1 in next 3 against non kluber starters? To keep it a series.
  10. I looked it up. In 90s and early 2000s TSN had 10 games a year. Cbc had intermittent games and ctv had a few also. I remember being annoyed that all games weren't watchable
  11. I remember in the 90s that not every game was televised locally I'm pretty sure. Maybe not remember right?
  12. People remember when all braves games we on Tbs in the 90s? Jays games were on cbc right and they didn't show all the games like they do now? I remember becoming a braves fan because my brothers favourite player was chipper jones, and the horrible feeling when they would get knocked out of the nlds every year
  13. 2 games against kershaw since he hopefully pitches one of the last games of that series so can't play game 1 or 2 would be nice. Rich hill doesn't seem like he is trusted by the dodgers right now. Would rather face kershaw a couple times than the Cubs rotation. Was funny reading Cubs message board when playing Giants. Seems like every message board says their line up makes guys with an era over 4 look like cy young
  14. Maybe because after being down 0-2 nobody expected a come back? Two weeks ago would you expect to be in this position and to beat the Indians? Things are optimistic with the sweep and the last 2 games against Boston. Although with the injuries against Cleveland it should be easier. Are we hoping for Dodgers to beat Cubs ?
  15. Saw a post on a Indians message board saying don't sell blue jays fans tickets, were horrible etc etc Nice to be playing a team without all the bitterness of Texas and especially the Baltimore fans
  16. What other teams are owned by companies like Rogers where the baseball team is just a small part of the company and have stock holders to answer to?
  17. All the time, I know most guys on the team are tough but just stupid little injuries you hear about all year that keep them from playing. Like Hanley Ramirez falling down the stairs in the club house. Most people have the work through injuries because you can't go on a DL and still get paid. WCB is a thing but very difficult to get. How much more rigorous is it playing a baseball season than doing hard labour ?
  18. Do the players really care about an extra 2-3 million when they are going to make 20 million already? Is it just the agents and family pressure that makes them take the maximum? I read David price doesn't live any different since hitting payday but maybe if he has signed for 20-25 million would Boston media take it easier on him and be less pressure? Maybe not choke in the playoffs
  19. Why do athletes seem so fragile.
