  1. I wish Whitt would have mentioned how Canada got screwed by those tie breaker rules in 2006 when Canada got eliminated because of them and the USA advanced despite losing to them and having the same record during their pool play. Going into this years tournament you can see Canada was not going to win a game and that proved to be true.
  2. Tim & Sid were just talking about Odor's bat flip from last night and Sid just said how the whole Texas Rangers organization are hypocrites for when they complained about what Bautista did, since Odor ended up on 1st base because of a long single when he thought it was a home run.
  3. That seems concerning for me because remember he dropped what looked to be an easy fly ball against Texas in the bottom of the 9th in Game 2, so today is not the first time he's made that mistake.
  4. Considering the Blue Jays came out with these new hats for this season, I don't think it's a coincidence they went with this type of slogan for this season. http://www.jaysshop.ca/iSynApp/productDisplay.action?sid=1101081&productId=1102996
  5. If anyone from Texas was to hit Bautista on purpose it should have been Sam Dyson since he was the one who allowed the home run which lead to the bat flip. Matt Bush wasn't even on the Rangers in the 2015 postseason. If anything Odor happen to be at the wrong place when Bautista did the hard slide into 2nd which started the whole brawl. Also don't forget about the walk to Carlos Gomez in the top of the 1st by Sanchez to start Game 3 when he flipped his bat after a walk of all things. You can see it right here at the 11:40 mark, plus Gomez was also not on their 2015 team and once again where was the outrage for him doing that? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rE5Eyp0Umcw
  6. Last August on Tim & Sid the day after Odor got a walk off home run for Texas he was watching it before rounding the bases and afterwards the whole team celebrated like they won the World Series, Sid most definitely called them out about how hypocritical they were.
  7. If anyone has the MLB.com Ballpark App downloaded I'm wondering besides using to the check-in feature for Blue Jays games played at the Rogers Centre, can you also use the check-in feature at any other MLB stadium if you are seeing the Blue Jays playing on the road.
  8. I remember at the first WBC in 2006 Canada got eliminated in the first round because of their runs allowed or something like that, despite having a 2-1 record along with the United States and Mexico. The thing which I thought was f***ed up is how the United States advanced because of that when they lost to Canada in their pool play during the first round.
  9. One thing I hope to get is a Baseball tossed up from one of the Blue Jays players. After all I will have my alternate blue uniform and my 59Fifty hat with the 2016 postseason patch. I have seen a lot of YouTube videos of Zack Hample asking for balls and he gets them all the time.
  10. Thanks to all those who responded. I'm also wondering for those who went to other stadiums did you happen to download the MLB.com Ballpark app? If you have it downloaded were you able to use the check-in feature at any stadium and not just at the Rogers Centre?
  11. For those who have seen a Blue Jays game on the road in another teams stadium what was the experience like, more specifically how were fans of the home team towards you? This coming August I'm going to the Blue Jays and Rays game on August 24th at Tropicana Field and wondering what to expect? It won't be my first time seeing a Toronto based team on the road because in the past I have gone to a Maple Leafs game in Tampa Bay in December 2007 and this past December I was at the Raptors game in Orlando. If it matters I got tickets in the 2nd row behind the Blue Jays dugout and I'm sure there will be other Jays fans down there since I have seen them before and I realize it won't be the amount of fans like when they play in Seattle.
  12. This is not for a game in Toronto, instead I got 2 tickets for the Blue Jays and Rays in Tropicana Field on August 24th. It just so happens to be that I will be on vacation that time in Orlando an the Jays are playing the Rays in St. Petersburg in a 3 game series starting on the 22nd. So my Dad and I are going to drive from Orlando to St. Petersburg which is about an hour and a half drive to see the game. Last Sunday through the Rays website I was able to get 2nd row behind the Blue Jays dugout which cost $90 each and we even purchased our parking spot in one of the various lots by Tropicana Field for $20.
  13. There was that 30 for 30 documentary where some ESPN writer in Chicago followed Bartman to where he worked, waited in the parking garage for him to get to his car and tried to get an interview with him.
  14. I don't know the exact amount but isn't Votto currently making more or around the same type of money Edwin wants? If so why would Shapiro gives Atkins approval to give up top prospects for and maybe for Votto more when they can possibly re-sign Edwin.
  15. I hope you are right about that.
  16. Don't forget how Joe Buck and Fox showed that graphic during Game 6 saying it would be a Mets-Royals World Series and how later on they realized their mistake. This was before the game was over and shortly after that mistake Bautista tied the game at 3-3.
  17. Is that because he plays for Boston and the size of their market? That would be my only reason why he would possibly win it.
  18. If Pillar doesn't win a Gold Glove this year that will be an absolute joke and a crime because he should have at least won it last season.
  19. How many games does someone need to play to be nominated at their position? I remember that Machado played at least 1 month at Shortstop.
  20. When the Cubs scored their run in the 1st inning on the double by Rizzo and Bryant scored from first base, did anyone else say what if Donaldson had scored on Edwin's double in Game 1 of the ALCS? That's the first thought that came to my mind watching that.
  21. I actually thought to myself the Blue Jays would have had done what the Royals did when they made the World Series in 2014. Edwin had his walk off Home Run in the Wild Card game, the Royals also had a walk off win in their Wild Card game against Oakland. The Blue Jays next swept the Rangers in the ALDS, the Royals swept the Angels in their ALDS series. I do wonder if wanting to play Cleveland and not Boston in the ALCS became one of those be careful what you wish for type of moments? On paper Boston had a more dangerous lineup with their ability to get Home Runs and on a personal level I didn't want Boston to advance out of the ALDS because the media at least in the USA would turn it into an even bigger David Ortiz love fest.
  22. Last year I decided to purchase the Blue Jays 2015 AL East Champions hoodie, the official one which says "The East Is Ours." This year I purchased the Toronto Blue Jays New Era MLB 2016 Post Season Authentic Collection Patch 59FIFTY Cap at Lids in Fairview Mall, because my previous Blue Jays hat was dirty and beat up and I thought it was time for a new one. Besides that if I happen to see it on sale, I might purchase that hoodie the players had which said "We Came To Reign". So who else purchased any of the Blue Jays postseason merchandise either last year or this year?
  23. If you had to choose between the 2015 ALCS against Kansas City and the 2016 ALCS against Cleveland, as Blue Jays fans which was more frustrating to watch since in the end Toronto ended up losing both series. With Kansas City it was annoying just how many times they were able to comeback late in games, like when they were losing 6-2 against Houston in the 8th inning of Game 4 of the ALDS and in the 7th inning of Game 2 in the ALCS, although Goins and Bautista not catching that popup didn't help. As we all know the Cleveland bullpen was un hittable when Miller and Allen came in, plus the Blue Jays bats going cold also did not help. In the end I say 2016 was more frustrating because on paper Toronto should have defeated Cleveland and at least their offense showed up in 2015 against Kansas City.
  24. Maybe the people in Kansas City have an inferiority complex because according to an article in the Kansas City Star, they claim that Eric Hosmer's slide home to tie Game 5 of the 2015 World Series was a lot better than Josh Donaldson's slide home to win last night. Here is their reason for it. http://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/for-petes-sake/article107225672.html What they don't mention is that Donaldson scored all the way from second base, which was a lot harder than Hosmer scoring from third base.
  25. I also just remembered earlier in the regular season Odor hit a walk off homerun and flipped his bat and the whole team celebrated like they just won the World Series.
