  1. The last few weeks, he has been playing like the Alford of last season. Hopefully he can have a strong finish to the season. I still feel his poor season is because of the injuries he has had. Anyone know if he is still playing with a brace?
  2. Yes!!!!!!!!!!! I literally did like 10 double fist pumps. Great job by the team for not giving up. And Travis you are a beauty!
  3. Pentecost with his 7th HR, also had a double today. He is having a very good return from injury but he really needs to get behind the plate ASAP.
  4. Here are Tulo's stats in his last 40 games Average: .299 HR: 11 RBI: 34 Runs: 22 BB%: 7.0 K%: 19.1 Pretty good if you ask me
  5. Tulo responds and won us the game today. I admit before his last 3 AB's, I was worried as he had struck out 6 times in last 7 AB's, but as he proved it was just a tiny stretch. Tulo is still showing he has that offense back!!! What a great recovery into Colorado Tulo!
  6. Jim has that false narrative again that we have no farm system. He loses all credibility right there. Is it awesome? No but its not empty, not close to being empty, but hey whatever floats his boat I guess
  7. Thank god your not the GM. yeah easily can replace a SS of Tulo's calibre. They are always available. Oh wait a second.
  8. Jon Harris IP: 7 H: 6 R: 3 (2 ER) BB: 0 SO: 8 Decent outing today. Had really just one bad inning
  9. The great thing Tulo doesnt bring his bad offensive days on the field Basically the Anti Reyes!
  10. Different team and different times. But sure whatever you say
  11. Boy real tough game for Tulo. They happen at times. But to be fair, most of the hitters had bad games.
  12. Tulo is hitting .313 in his last 29 games. With 8 homers and 24 RBI. Looks like he is back to being the Tulo we thought we were getting in the trade. 4 more years of Tulo! Lol at people wanting to trade him. Not going to happen and not should it. Thankfully we have smarter people at management.
  13. 2 more hits for Pentecost including a double and 2 run single. Walked as well.
  14. SRF is doing awesome! The biggest development is easily his walk rate. His K% was there last season too but this year his BB% is also pretty solid. Pentecost is also hitting well after a short slump. Has 4 Homers in last 8 games as well, hopefully the power is starting to come. He has some catch up to do for the missed developmental time, but hopefully he keeps making strides and returns to catcher duty soon I think we should kind of write this year off for Alford. Everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong after such a great year last year. Maybe he has a strong second half and lets see how he is next season as well I guess
  15. Tulo has always been a captain serious kind of guy so happy to seem him smile more lately. Tulo was starting to hit well before his injury too, but now its all coming together
  16. This is the real Tulo! An elite hitter doesn't suddenly forget how to hit though Tulo was scaring me in his long slump. He is still a great player
  17. Pentecost with an RBI double in the 1st inning, and has now reached base 23 straight games. He is hitting well now after that small slump he had which he attributed to "adjustments and lack of plate appearances"
  18. That homerun by Tulo extends his release by the team for just a few more at bats Because you know Tulo is a terrible player;)
  19. Yet I keep hearing Dickey is a blackhole and is the worst pitcher ever. I hope Stroman's performance so far gets rid of that narrative
  20. Hope Alford has a speedy recovery:) He has really had a real tough season.
  21. Just when you think Alford is back to last season's form, he is struggling again
  22. His breaking stuff can be real deadly at times(especially his curve). Just needs more development on his overall stuff.
  23. Thanks for the reply guys. I agree with everything except for the "Harris was awful" post. Just was wondering why the importance of K's but it makes sense now. Ofcourse I still feel K% is overrated but it certainly helps. I agree the BB and K ratio is very crucial I believe Harris was good aside from his 1st start, and his K's last 2 games are a great development so hopefully he continues taking steps. Ofcourse doesn't mean we should expect double digit strike out numbers every start but hopefully he is now starting to develop that aspect and strikeouts become consistent. Our first rounders in Max and Harris dont look too bad now, eh😉
  24. 2 straight dominant outings. Might pitch another inning maybe with only 83 pitches. I know people were saying he hasnt been good before these 2 starts which I dont agree with. Yeah sure his K's were down but aside from that and his 1st disaster start, he has been very solid so far. Maybe you guys can help me out, but are there some underlying stats that I am not aware that were not going in Harris's favor? It just seems odd the way that strikeouts are being emphasized as a way to determine the quality of a pitcher. Not complaining, just friendly answers.
  25. This was meant towards Pompey.
