Watch Donaldsons swing in slow motion he brings the bat downward towards his head on the leg kick and then whips it to his back shoulder once his leg lands. -

With a pause in the hands before the swing he was essentially creating a stop in his forward momentum. It's something my coaches have been teaching us recently. Creates loose hands and a fluent motion that work together with the legs. -

I don't know about any of you, but I'm just glad to see him keeping movement in his hands instead of creating a pause like he did last year.
