  1. Why the security , trying to keep away your fans, come on man.
  2. As an old school stats guy, I find war so subjective, in some ways its not even a real stat until there is one formula for it. Joe is and was a legend, simple as that, he delivered when it mattered on the biggest stage.
  3. His release from the Braves and signing with the Mets means his return to Toronto is only pushed back by about two weeks, hopefully.
  4. Hopefully it’s not before June 2 when I am heading down to Binghamton to see the Fishercats in action, looking forward to it very much. Have no issues with a Buffalo call up as I am seeing the Bisons the next day.
  5. Would AAA be much more of a challenge for Vladi?
  6. Right on, I would happily take that for what we may get in Biggio.
  7. I would declare you a hardcore Blue Jays fan if you remember Steve Braun hitting .273 with 1 home run in 37 games during the 1980 season. Oh by the way he turns 70 today, happy birthday Steve !!
  8. So how long will it take for Biggio to be considered a real prospect?
  9. I totally believe in someone being innocent until proven guilty, very much dislike how people can jump all over someone without knowing the facts.
  10. So will I still be able to get my Osuna tshirt on Thursday , don’t want to waste time lining up if not? Can they really let 15,000 tshirts go to waste?
  11. To me the biggest difference for a hitter from say high A to AA is they start to see pitchers not throwers, the low minors is filled with guys who have wild heat. You start to see pitchers who have developed pitch selection.
  12. Now this is something I have been thinking about and hope MLB and the PA consider in the future. Let each kid have one September call up that does not count against service. This would have many benefits including letting a kid like Vladi get a taste of MLB and feel for what it takes to be a big leaguer. Just an idea.
  13. Question for everyone, is AAA right now that much of a jump from AA, especially for a hitter. I have always said the big jump is from A to AA.
  14. My question is, will they want him to at least spend some time making the step up to Triple A? Now I get the real jump for a player is from A to AA, where they start to see pitchers and not throwers for the most part, but man this kid is doing things we don’t see every day. I for one am getting very excited to see him, thus checking that New Hampshire boxscore everyday. I fully expect a September call up but before that we shall wait and see.
  15. I think that will come, even after the success in 2015, the Jays had crowds in the area of mid to low 20K in the April 2016. When the Leafs and Raptors playoff runs have come to an end and hopefully the Jays are still rolling I believe you will see an uptick.
  16. Have at it for only the third double header in SkyDome history.
  17. Man what is this now for Buffalo, 6 weather related postponements in their first 11 games this season, crazy !
  18. The irony is if you bought a ticket off Stubhub for today you will get a refund, but if you bought directly from the Jays will have to exchange it for one of nine week day games they are offering. Kind of sucks for a season ticket holder I guess.
  19. With the 3:07 start tomorrow I can make the first game before an evening engagement. Looking forward to what will be only the third double header in dome history.
  20. I don't think there is much of a chance for a promotion in the next couple weeks, you should be safe. Plus is the jump to triple A all that big, it might come down to where they think he fits in better.
  21. What a jack, love that sound !!
  22. Who the f*** is Donnie Sellers? 12 Ks for Lansing on Monday night.
  23. What a night for the studs, great to see. Can't wait to getting down to seeing them in June.
  24. I get what you are saying, I guess I am just looking at it from a business sandpoint where even last year the lowest attendance for a home game last year was over 28K where we have already seen it dip to early 2015 levels of just over 17K. How much does the revenue levels of 2015-17 influence what they do moving forward?
  25. This op piece in The Star has really gotten be thinking about the direction this ball club is going, after the success on the field and especially at the gate that drove ticket sales into 2017. Is the Rogers board looking at the money coming in and thus not letting a true rebuild from happening as it would drive the casual party crowd away? Would making the second wildcard this year get in the way of it once again? https://www.thestar.com/sports/bluejays/opinion/2018/04/06/the-first-month-has-never-been-more-important-for-the-blue-jays.html
