  1. Yes, at hitting balls out of the zone like his old man.
  2. project trend =/= definitive statement
  3. I disagree. Once you cross 2000 ab's it is sufficient to project trends.
  4. He may think he can hit balls out of the zone like his old man. He can't. He isn't as good but I think he thinks he is.
  5. This is exactly the scenario I'm referring to as it relates to Vladdy. He has been getting by on his natural talent alone up until a few years ago. MLB is a different kettle of fish. Perhaps his success in 2021 got to his head. He may have a million dollar bat, but he may also have a ten cent brain. Who knows?
  6. I missed this one but from the comments it seems Schneider worked his magic again. In terms of the hitting coach, specifically relating to Vladdys approach; is it possible that Vladdy may not be a very coach-able player? Ie. maybe he doesn’t listen and thinks he knows better.
  7. Put me in for Bo please.
  8. Let’s win this series!!! ghetto thread for the win.
  9. We did it. We beat the best org in MLB!
  10. This is the Baltimore Hicks....different animal.
  11. I thought he meant to steal second on first pitch?
  12. Vladdy killed our rally:mad:
  13. I thought that was strike three against Espy.
  14. That was a pretty slick tag by Bo.
  15. Biggio was really working that ab. Good to see.
  16. We can hit just not with risp.
  17. Team defensive runs saved: We're the best in baseball.
  18. Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Jose Berrios will look to continue his dominance of the Baltimore Orioles when the teams meet in the second game of a three-game series on Wednesday night in Baltimore. The Blue Jays will try to bounce back from an 11-6 loss on Tuesday night. Baltimore's Gunnar Henderson homered in his third straight game, this time hitting a grand slam that broke the contest open in the third inning. Berrios (6-4, 3.61 ERA) is 9-0 with a 2.92 ERA and his only career shutout in 12 career starts against the Orioles. He has 67 strikeouts and just 16 walks in 77 innings vs. them. The right-hander is rolling overall as well, going 3-0 with a 1.46 ERA in his past four starts. During that run, Berrios has struck out 18, walked 12 and held opponents to a .202 batting average. In his past 11 starts, he is 6-2 with a 2.53 ERA. Last time out, Berrios gave up two runs on four hits over six innings in a win against the Houston Astros on Thursday. Varsho batting 3rd should drive some of you (you know who you are) ape s***.

  20. You think you were the first person to be skeptical about Atkins? I got news for you, Gruber has been s***ing on Atkins since 2019! Two years before you even started posting. The difference is he doesn't come on here crying about people who have differing views. You have a victim complex. You call everyone else "*******s" multiple times because you think you're right. You know what? A lot of us have been right about a lot of things but don't beat our chests about it. Then you beat the drums about how Baltimore has passed us. Baltimore has been a s*** stain organization since the mid eighties. They're ascending right now, but just wait. I get that you're frustrated by how much this team is underachieving. We all are. It's a long season and things may get worse. A team touted as a maybe winning the East may not make even make the wildcard. Newsflash: WE ALL KNOW THIS. If you go to the preseason poll where we ask if this years team has a better offense than 2022 (you know, the one you didn't participate in) a lot of us (myself included) said that this years team had a better offense than last years team. You know who didn't think so? Spanky. The guy you call a homer. So turn down the condescension for a few posts and maybe you'll get some respect the old fashioned way: by earning it. https://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/10638-Offense-2023-Better-same-or-worse-than-2022
  21. I'm starting to think Mattingly is purposely feeding Schneider misinformation so he can take the reins by the allstar break. Donny Ball on the phone to Ross after the game: "Dont know what to tell ya Ross...this muthaf***er cray-cray!"
