  1. Now let's see how far Hinch will push Skubal.
  2. It's understandable with risp and the previous abs I guess. That's baseball.
  3. that one run that the Mariners scratched across may be the difference in this game. Pitching duel on display.
  4. Can you have too much swing and miss? Skubal needs some contact outs to keep the pitch count down.
  5. I think Naylor may be faster than a healthy Bichette. 😎
  6. Yeah, I don't think that is right. Last time I checked he was like 20th from the bottom.
  7. Seattle crowd is rocking.
  8. Jays in 30 on right now on Sportsnet. Yankee tears freshly served.
  9. Bookmarking this until 2037 when I can pull a gotcha post.
  10. No they don't. This is a myth promulgated by losing teams when things don't work out (jays included). The front office provides the managers with information and it is up to the manager in the dugout to deploy as he sees fit. The skipper has his hand on the tiller. You think John Schneider was told by the khakis to bring in Seranthony D in the third inning? That was all Schneider and Walker.
  11. Okay, I guess I'm in the "hope the Tigers win" camp. John Schneider won't be able to out manage AJ Hinch as well as he did with Aaron Boone. On another note, it is interesting how on the Yankees boards they are talking about how Boone doesn't actually make the decisions in game but that it comes from Cashman and the Operations group. Very similar to the talk around John Schneider during the Jays playoffs debacles. What comes around goes around.
  12. Contrition is definitely required here. I called the Vlad haters an embarrassment near the end of the season. Who's going to man up and come clean?
  13. Sure but if he stays healthy he could be a force into his late 30's. He is that good. In fact, he may be the best RH hitter I have ever seen.
  14. Sure but just 1700 ab's in his career. He could still develop into something. The magnifying glass on players is just so big in NY though.
  15. I don't think Aaron Judge is going to have the steep decline with the bat that many other players get plagued with. Rather it his injury potential. That big body of his and the forearm issues he had this year could be a harbinger of things to come if the Yankees don't start DH'ing him a lot more. Stanton has a buyout clause in 2028 so the Yankees have to make some strategic decisions if they want to win a championship in the Judge era.
  16. On the replay the catcher was pointing to first before the throw. Terrible ending.
  17. I hate Dave Roberts with the heat of a thousand suns.
  18. Catcher should have been shouting, "first base, first base!"
  19. could he not have gone to first with the throw?
  20. Terrible swing for strike three after such a battle for Bader.
  21. Luzardo equal to the task.
  22. Thanks dad.
