    A three-game series in the American League starts up on Friday when the Toronto Blue Jays (35-39, 5th AL East) take on the Cleveland Guardians (46-26, 1st AL Central). Toronto had the day off on Thursday after getting swept at home by the Red Sox. Cleveland played early on Thursday, finishing up a series at home against the Mariners, winning two of three games. These teams met just last week, with Toronto taking two of three games at home over Cleveland.

    Half is performance based. The rest in terms of innings pitched, well we should be so lucky. In the bigger scheme of total payroll, it's a pittance. Not disgusting at all.

    Berrios is a physical specimen. He will age like fine wine. Keep him and Kikuchi as well. Even during the retool period we need arms. Both those guys will likely stay healthy. Gausman and Bassitt are who I would move and that right quick.

    Berrios is the guy you keep during a quick rebuild. He stays healthy, is a leader to younger pitchers, etc. You don't dump every asset. Rogers has money so the issue of saving is way overblown.
