  1. LOL. If that's what I think it is then I certainly hope not.
  2. I've noticed many of the Jays players wearing large black beaded necklaces.... anyone know the deal with those? Are they supposed to be magical or something?
  3. I Voted Feel Worse. This series would have ideally not gone to 5, even if they do end up winning. I was hoping Texas would only get 1. Also, agree losing Cecil is a huge setback and Price hasn't been Price. On the less heavily weighed bright side, the momentum is now in our favor and JD's bat has awoke.
  4. Now it all makes sense why they punted the last week of the season. They wanted the division, but not HFA. Let's all hope KC wins.
  5. I bet we'll see Sanchez and Osuna in the starting rotation to start the year. Hutch to the bullpen. Cecil closing. They'll probably pickup Dickey's option. These are the easiest moves. Stroman Dickey Sanchez Osuna ?
  6. Four Thoughts on Today, defending the move: 1) We won the game and forced game 5. Be happy. Where were we at on Friday? 2) As soon as Cecil went down, having a good lefty reliever became much more important. 3) Given Price's numbers against Texas and in the postseason, you kind of prefer Stroman in Game 5 anyway. After giving Price some extra work in Game 4, you don't need to manage the egos as much as you would by telling Price straight up that you are going with Stroman ahead of him. This also gives you the ability to use Price in a smaller situational role in Game 5 if needed. 4) Dickey pitched great for months and was a key factor behind the Jays success. He deserved a post season start. This "short leash" start gives you some good innings from him, but also allows you the flexibility to use Price in the more valuable bullpen role, as noted above. We got the win. We got Game 5. We got arguably our best starter for this situation going in Game 5. We have a fresh bullpen for Game 5. We can use Price as in a situational role in Game 5 against lefties which is valuable. If Price isn't needed in Game 5, you can rest him for starting Game 2 of the next series. Estrada would get Game 1, so you're good.
  7. Glad to see there is still some optimism out there. At this point I, like many, have resigned to the fact we are most likely done. At least we still get to enjoy at least one more game of postseason ball. It's been 22 years and I'm going to enjoy it. No more expectations, just live in the moment.
  8. We get our guys back and the Beltre injury hurts them more anyway. I'm confident that our offense will find a way to get this done tomorrow. I won't be surprised if Stroman matches Hamels. Win game 2 and we are GOOD. Jays offense is going to crush in Arlington against mediocre pitching.
  9. Well I'm in the camp that wasn't happy to see the team partying and resting for the final week of the season. Probably why they all have the flu right now.
  10. No need to panic unless they lose game 2 tomorrow. Then it's pretty much over. If they win game 2 then it's a best of 3.
  11. Hard to imagine all home teams have lost their games these playoffs, including wild card games.
  12. At least the odds of hearing the score aren't too high. Not like Canucks where it's impossible.
  13. Something doesn't add up. I think it would be more normal to complete the playoffs before rehab. I bet he did something bad and this was some sort of deal to keep his family. Just a guess. Anyway, here's an article which offers more insight on this story and his benders: http://nypost.com/2015/10/06/the-weekend-long-bender-behind-cc-sabathias-rehab-stay/
  14. Georgia St location?
  15. Wondering where the best place(s) are to watch the playoffs in Vancouver area. It's hard to find a lot of baseball fans here, but I'm hoping the bars will accommodate the playoff games at least. Please let me know of any good places.
