Holy s***, I figured accepting Jaysblue's application was a foreshadowing to an event like this. My thoughts on the incident are as follows,
-The punishment of such an infraction should be tough. There are scenarios where the consequences could severely impact results. Although the chances are slim, it is possible that a team could stream an owned prospect fighting for a playoff spot and make it based off that move if a match-up was down to the wire. This could completely destroy an entire season and would not be reversible.
-One thing that bugs the f*** out of me is the fact that it alters the integrity of the statistics, it has a butterfly effect feel to it and it makes me uncomfortable. Normally I would have caught such a mistake, but I was traveling.
So in conclusion a first round pick is harsh, but a second or a waiver pick isn't enough. An offender could f*** up a whole season, especially if they were creeping late night Saturday for streamers and no one catches it before the early Sunday games near the end of the year, I could see connorp doing something like that for sure. The penalty will remain a 1st, so be extra diligent when adding someone that you're not quite sure on his owner status (Sezatela had been owned for a year.)
