Couldn't sleep so I did something I normally don't do and read the general media reaction to the loss. And the narrative is pretty much all Kevin Gausman was pulled too early. And you can debate that is probably true but it isn't the reason they lost. They lost because they got 2 f***ing hits. You can't win a Baseball game if you can't hit or score runs. Gausman could have pitched perfect the rest of the game and they didn't do anything offensively. Your pitching staff limits an opponent to 3 runs. You expect to win. Especially at home.

If they approach Castillo how they approached the Yankees starting pitching it will be a positive outcome. He's not missing bats anywhere near the rate he use to. He will not give in so you can grind out walks against them. That's exactly what the Tigers did in his start against them. Just battle you can't give away at-bats the way they did tonight. Just non competitive at-bats when every at-bat against the Yankees felt like a grind.

Well lock in for tomorrow because that game absolutely sucked in every way possible. The fatigue of their bullpen no longer a factor. And they will be able to set up their rotation starting in Game 3. It’s going to be tough but find a way to win tomorrow.
